TUCSON, Ariz. No one will ever accuse Jesse Kelly of bringing weak tea to the party.
The conservative 29-year-old Marine combat veteran and tea party favorite made waves this week when a video of him criticizing Sarah Palin's endorsements of "people who will sell our principles down the river" surfaced and caused a stir.
The brief moment of national notoriety notwithstanding, Kelly is surging at the end of the 8th District GOP primary campaign here, largely on the strength of an impressive grassroots organization and a cocky, free-wheeling style that contrasts sharply with that of the more measured, more disciplined former state Sen. Jonathan Paton...........
"Believe me, if my goal was to get on the Armed Services Committee, or Ways and Means or any of these other great committees you need to be on, then we'd be in a lot of trouble," he said. "My goal is to have my country back and to have a government that leaves me the hell alone and I don't want anything else. And I'm not there for the next cocktail party, and I'm not there to make a bunch of friends. I'm not there to go along with liberalism. I'm there to fight liberalism. That's what I'm going there to do."

Yep on both counts.
I’d like to see hima at 6’8” debating the Mini-Me Ron Paul.
Kelly knows what to do to ingratiate himslef with the country club Republicans! That means he is a smart politician. Palin does the same job by endorsing John McPain.
There isn’t much difference beteen them IMHO, except that Palin is far more experienced and strategically more saavy.
Loose cannons on a heaving deck often break the bulkhead and fall overboard. The last thing conservatives need is their own version of Al Franken.
Check this out on Jesse Kelly http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5z4jC_qVlPk
I like what I see! I hope the good people of Arizona put him in office - and PLEASE kick the Palin-endorsed McCain OUT!!!
-—”Waiting for the Palin Kook-Aid drinkers to accuse the combat-vet Marine of being a RINO/McRomney supporter.....”-—
Not at all! At last we’ve finally found that perfect Conservative who never does anything other than what’s perfectly Conservative, and never endorses anyone who isn’t a perfect Conservative, and will never have anything less than a 100% perfect record on every issues, from big ones like immigration, Abortion, the WOT, and Second Amendment Rights to secondary issues like political endorsements, Free Trade, pornography, and drugs! Unlike that RINO Palin - did I say “RINO?” I meant “Uber-Liberal” and “enemy of the U.S.A.”
I’m glad Kelly won’t back down in attacking America’s true enemies, like Sarah Palin. Damn her and her Liberal ways!
Plus....Levi Johnston!
Makes them look kind of silly.
Mrs.Palin is not perfect but I support her and if someone supports someone else who is not a Leftist,I respect that and if your man or woman wins the nomination they will get my vote.
I just wish the PDS rabble would dilute their irrational hate towards the former Gov and stop doing the Lefts’ work.
Still waiting? Maybe you should grab a Snickers.
Just friggin WoW!
This guy reflects my sentiments to a ‘tea’.
Hope he is able to articulate these sentiments into a full blown strategy.
He is my kind of Marine.
The BIG fact Palin is the one conservative who scares the Left to DEATH!
Speaks volumes on BOTH sides don't it?
-—”The BIG fact Palin is the one conservative who scares the Left to DEATH!”-—
Yes, but DAMMIT my one-percenter, (insert little-known, local Congressman’s name), is the ONLY real Conservative choice for 2012!
Of course, I am a Paton supporter and voter. However check out politico's reportorial track record for their biases.
Those kinda sellouts don't faze her followers.
How dare he criticize her endorsements of RINOs!
Well put!
Thanks Republican Wildcat.
They haven't made that particular accusation yet, but they're here on the thread. :)
Badda bing badda boom, another candidate loved by both the Left and the PDS Right.
Winning combination to be sure...?
Of course. Jonathan Paton is backing John McCain.
