Obama’s ground zero mosque targets U.S. morale - ALAN KEYES
Loyal to Liberty ^ | August 14, 2010 | Alan Keyes

I always find it repugnant when Barack Obama pretends to articulate and apply America’s moral values. As products of Saul Alinsky’s finishing school for Marxist protégés, Obama and his crew have no respect for the self-evident truths in which those values originate. It’s not that they have no use for them. On the contrary, they refer to them only when they are useful for ideological warfare.

Obama’s reference yesterday to religious tolerance, and America’s respect for religious freedom, is a case in point. According to an AP report, he “is weighing in forcefully on the mosque near ground zero, saying a nation built on religious freedom must allow it….While insisting that the place where the twin towers once stood was indeed “hallowed ground,” Obama said that the proper way to honor it was to apply American values.”

By taking this stance Obama chooses to show no regard for the view that the proposed mosque is intended as a monument to Islamic terrorism’s greatest victory. He chooses simply to brush aside the possibility that it is being erected in the same spirit that led Palestinians, and many other admirers of the 9-11 terrorist assailants to dance in the streets with jubilation at their devastating assault on the United States. He therefore seeks to invoke America’ values in order to embarrass and silence those who seek to defend America’s security against what surely could be an insidious symbol, used to rally and mesmerize new recruits for future attacks against us.

Obama cannot plead ignorance of Muslim history and tradition. He knows that it was the practice of Muslim conquerors to erect places of Islamic worship on or near the sites of their decisive victories (preferably transforming or in place of something held in reverence by the conquered people.) He knows...

Agreed. His ability to read a teleprompter may be unrivaled, but that appears to the extent of his talent and ability.

I get a little teary-eyed when I read it, but one line stands out ominously: If you are born into a Muslim family, you are muslim, there is no choice.

This is not about freedom of religion. This is about respect for the dead.

Well said.

I have a dumb question: do communities often, legally, have grounds to deny a religious building to be built?

What is/were the legal grounds for denying the mosque be built?

Dumb questions but I have not been following this and want to hear clear legal reasons for denying this mosque that could not be used by the government against a more traditional church some day.

I am not defending the mosque but want to prevent the hell of good intentions.

I would even take issue with his ability to read a teleprompter “unrivaled”. Maybe it’s because I hate him, but his staccato delivery of 4 or 5 word segments just annoys the hell out of me.

Yes and no.

I think in this case the community had a compelling reason to deny permission that fits within the bounds of the law.

In fact, because public funds are being used to promote and build this mosque, and because its chief “imam” is under the employ of the State Department as a Middle East “envoy”, it can actually be framed as a violation of the letter and spirit of the First Amendment Establishment Clause.

Section 3-b of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993 provides an avenue for denial of a religious exercise if the government can demonstrate a compelling interest AND provide an alternative avenue of expression for the religious exercise in question.

Surely, they could be required to build their mosque somewhere else without violation of their fundamental rights, the same rights which they would deny to everybody else.

But the MoHamHeads are not interested in religious freedom, anyway. Their intention with the building of this mosque is provocation. They want to invite violence against them in order to provide a basis for the passage of laws that will give them special protections that other faiths do not have.

Islam is not a faith. It is a violent, seditious, intolerant, hateful, cruel, malignant political ideology, complete with judicial, financial, and legislative aspects, with the “religious” aspect in front of the others in order to provide justification for the extremes of the ideology.

Their founder, Mohammed, whom they regard as the “perfect man”, was a pirate, a pedophile, a polygamist, a slave trader, a murderer, a torturer, a Jew-hater, a trucebreaker, a liar, a thief, and all around vicious, bloody, savage, genocidal lunatic.

The teaching of their “faith” that all true Moslems are compelled to imitate this bloody lunatic savage explains a lot of their behavior.

Winston Churchill said that thee is “no greater retrograde force on earth” than Islam.

Benjamin Disraeli said, “The borders of Islam are bloody.”

It would be wise for us to give attention to the wise words of these leaders.

No question about that. In certain pictures I can see the cold depths of hell in his eyes. Obama has either given himself or was given over to pure evil.

It's a shame that the concepts of right and wrong, good and evil have become so un-PC.

But that's exactly the point of PC. The Devíl's best trick is to convince people that he doesn't exist. PC does the trick for a lot of otherwise Good People.

I agree with much of what you have written, including that fact that he is the perfect tool. My assessment is that he is not innately stupid nor incompetent, however he is lazy and incredibly uneducated (other than in marxism and Islam), only making it through school on the affirmative action magic carpet.

Obama is an anti-American, anti-christian, anti-semetic, anti-causian, anti-Western culture, marxist, globalist, muslim, evil, Chicago thug who has been a very competent tool in accelerating the destruction of the US, its judeo-christian culture infused with a strong work ethic, and its middle class.

In theory he has been schooled in a speaking technique called NLP that is designed to bypass the logic portions of the brain (a form of hidden hypnosis). I guess you're immune.

My problem with the Mombasa Moonbeam and teleprompters is that he uses TWO ... switching his gaze from left to right and back again without ever making camera eye contact ... it's like he's talking to you ... not to me, then to the other guy

The whole point of teleprompters is that one can pretend to maintain some semblance of eye contact while reading Soros' and Ayers' Version of Cliff Notes on Marxism.

NB: In Islamic cultures, eye contact is considered effrontery.

Thanks for the info; the more I learn about Islamic culture, the more convinced I am that Obama is a Muslim.

A very good question. Probably because he is too far right for some people, but it seems to be getting kinda crowded over here in the far right corner. But the far-ness is not on the right, the left are the ones out in far left field.
