To her father it was clear that she would enlist in the IDF, as most citizens in Israel do. This was something that worried her very much. “I was scared to lose my friends because they objected to it. They told me they wouldn’t speak to me. I was left alone.”

Remember that before Mohammed invented his “religion” Jewish and Arabs intermarried frequently(They are after all both Semitic(Abraham was the father of both). Moses’ wife was an Arab(Midianite). Oh and my the way “Palistinians” are NOT Arab, they are mixed!
I am uncertain if the Druze “derive” their religion from Islam, but they have claimed descent from Jethro (father-in-law of Moses).
Theologically, it’s closed and secret, but it’s apparently an odd blend of Hindu all-roads-lead-to-heaven and Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

Druze, who are loyal and trusted, are drafted.
Many have fallen in defense of Israel, side by side with their Jewish countrymen.
I am really embarrassed that Ms. Joseph, a patriot willing to face death to protect her country, an achiever and one committed to her family, is treated so shabbily here on Free Republic. There is something so very wrong about many of the comments about her placed on this thread.
What am I missing?

I have to agree with the naughty men on this thread that this lady is quite Beautiful!
That being said, Arab Christians in Lebanon, and now in the West Bank and Gaza, suffer terribly at the hands of their Muslim Neighbors.
Bethlehem is losing a huge portion of its Tourist Revenue because of it.
