"Uncomfortable" was the word of the day at Morning Joe when it came to discussing Michelle Obama's decision to go on a luxurious vacation to Spain in the midst of a recession—and to miss celebrating her husband's birthday with him to boot.
Chuck Todd didn't go into details, but NBC's clearly ill-at-ease political director suggested: that this was a "private decision" by the First Lady; that it wouldn't have made any difference what the Pres. Obama's political advisors would have said; and that "you get the sense here that there was something more to this" than pure politics.
Joe Scarborough reinforced Todd's message: "this is part of a bigger narrative, isn't it, about Michelle Obama?"

The Obamas aren't big into birthdays and Christmas, however they did mention parties instead of gifts.
Maybe they celebrated in private a week early. Maybe birthdays aren't a big deal. Maybe BHO wanted some alone time as a birthday gift.
Speculating on possible marital problems just makes them the victims. Keep the focus on how tone deaf both Obamas are. Make Michelle Antoinette the issue.
Hillary and Chelsea constantly traveled the world without Bill. Hillary went on First Lady diplomatic goodwill trips, not on live it up vacations. Michelle's trips are like a like a drunk on an expense account.
And, then, in another story being spun by the WH, Michelle supposedly went to Spain to visit with a grieving friend who's father passed away in July....yeah, right! There seems to be no one speaking about this trip by Michelle who can get their lies to match. I, personally, believe Mabelle had a tantrum and demanded to have her own personal perk to get away from Zero and DC. I think she hates it there, and is just sticking it out and grabbing what she can in the process before dumping him when it is over.
There is clearly no love between these two sick puppies...it is a dysfunctional family...no matter how the liberal media wants to paint it and try to make us believe otherwise. I feel sorry for their daughters, just as I felt sorry for Chelsea living through her parents marital problems and lies.

I just don’t think you have marriage issues to the point of any formal separation when you are President. There’s too much in it for the wife to go to the “my emotional needs aren’t being met” chamber.

I would not be at all surprised to find out she's O's emissary to the Arab world, to see what they would pay in exchange for O selling out US interests before he gets kicked out.
If Michelle makes another trip to Asia and meets with Chinese honchos, we'll know that treason is in the air.
She had supposedly promised the grieving friend some personal time and the grieving friend had promised her daughter a trip to Spain. Is that convenient or what?
