The five-month-old Republican gay group GOProud wanted to create a big splash with its first convention, Homocon 2010 (that is a real name that we did not make up). And to do so, they lined up a whopper of a headliner. Says chairman Christopher Barron:
"The gay left has done their best to take all the fun out of politics, with their endless list of boycotts and protests. Homocon is going to be our annual effort to counter the no fun police on the left. I cant think of any conservative more fun to headline our inaugural party then the self-professed right-wing Judy Garland - Ann Coulter. I can promise you, Homocon 2010 will be a hell of a lot more fun than chaining yourself to the White House fence."
Comparing Ann Coulter to Dorothy might strike you as a little odd, considering she throws around the word "faggot" in a derogatory way. (Someone, perhaps more aptly, compared her to the Wicked Witch of the West on this particular issue.) But somehow her presence is almost less offensive than the fact that Homocon's recruitment poster kinda calls all Democrats gay.
He deserved it though. Habibi's post was over the line.
You know the Bible says a little leven, leventh the whole loaf... and we do have people standing up for the gay agenda. I'm a hardliner (per my brother) but you know...you don't play with evil...period. Look at Rush...hired the depraved Elton John and most freepers were fine with that. Well I'm not...if they do it behind closed doors, that's one thing but to shove it in our faces...well personally that's where I draw the line. Behind closed doors it's between them and God. Throw it my face...it's between them, me and my Springfield 1911 and believe me, it is going to come to that. I've been studying this for years and they actually have been physically assaulting people and harassing churches especially. May sound like bravado but it's not I can assure you. *sigh* sorry for the rant. Anyway yes, if you would send the 'list' to me I'd appreciate it. /rant
I could definitely see that when I reviewed the posts. *sigh* and so the battle intensifies...even against our own (sad but true)
Are they our own or trolls? I don’t know.
I was (sadly) referring to FReepers. I’d like to ‘pick the brain’ of FReepers because I’m not sure if they are younger or older...but in any case I noticed the trend when Rush hired Elton John for his wedding. There were so many on those threads that were justifying that and rationalizing the reasons it was astounding. So there are ‘many’ FReepers (imo) that are perfectly fine with depravity and feel that it’s not their business.
True, homosexuality has existed since ancient times in all cultures, but when a culture begins to tolerate it and as ours is doing, approve and promote it, that culture is decadent and is committing suicide.
It goes beyond merely tolerating it, it’s when it demands to be considered at least equal to heterosexuality that it really becomes destructive.
I’m wondering if some of that isn’t “fan” syndrome. If one is a Limbaugh fan, can they admit that he did something wrong? There are many defending Coulter too. I disagree with both of their actions but their choices are theirs to make. I don’t follow any pundits. Their “jobs” are to make money. I don’t see them as leaders.
I understand that Thomas Jefferson advocated castration as punishment for sodomite behavior.
I agree with you 100%.
Behind closed doors in their own houses - bathrooms, abbatoirs, dungeons or whatever. But making laws and judicial edicts to force their agenda on every man, woman and child in the country (and all over the world, it’s infecting other countries as well), is destroying the social fabric and creating a tyranny. And that is exactly what they want.
I don’t remember The Rubber Pig although it almost rings a bell...
Freepmail on the way.
And he was reducing the standard penalty which up to that time in the State of Virgina (and some other states as well) was execution.
It’s a variety of idol worship.
Oh I agree with you DJ. The point I was making though is that, it all depends on the the circumstance. That is, in what context are people willing to accept depravity? Is it when it comes home with their son or daughter or even a spouse? Is it when one of our favorite ‘personalities’ endorse it?
Where is the line drawn? I can only speak personally on this but there is a line drawn at ‘depravity’ period. It is to be rejected, no matter who is doing it, endorsing it or shrugging their shoulders at it. It is to be rejected.
However, we have young people, probably even here that truly can’t understand what the hoopla is about because they have been subjected to the ‘relative’ thinking that has infected our culture. There are no distinct rules/lines any more so more people are pulled into the illusion that ‘it’s none of their business’; even conservatives.
Regarding Rush, he is the man...but...it is telling about how infected our culture has become when a man like Rush is willing to accept depravity and state that it’s ‘about building bridges’. He’s not a ‘leader’ per se’, but he is influential and this type of attitude has infected even our leaders.
I’m a windy old hag aren’t I? lmao! sorry...
Mr. Habibi Troll, RIH
Log Cabin Republicans and the GOProud are (as is obvious by the GOProud’s legislative agenda) homosexual activists who want to change the Republic party into an agent of homosexual agenda promotion, and want to keep more of their own money, and maybe have the right to bear arms.
That’s it.
Not that there aren’t some conservative homosexuals, but they are few and far between.
Yes it is.
Everyone needs to worship someone, and if they do not worship the right, perfect Someone, they worship idols of one sort or another. The need to worship and adore is inseparable from the soul.
Exactly. But some are willing to compromise. I think it is probably younger people.
And it has to do with God out of public life, fewer kids having gone to Sunday School etc. All of this has been built on previous building blocks. Some looked small at the time until we look back and see what was really going on. Small tears at the moral fabric have become huge rents in it.
