...New Hampshire. This is the fifth consecutive year the Granite State has topped this list published by CQ Press.

New Hampshire ranks No. 1 because it excels in numerous important quality-of-life measures, including low crime, low poverty, high income levels and a well-educated population. Coming in right behind New Hampshire are Utah, Wyoming, Minnesota and Iowa.

The least livable state is Mississippi, a position it has held on this CQ Press list for nine of the last 10 years. Close behind Mississippi are South Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee and Arkansas.

Heck, they did not even include “low taxes” in their determination, so I take all this with a grain of salt...

I noticed that the most livable states are lilly whitey. LOL

They rated all the diverse states the lowest. Liberal closet racists must have conducted this survey.

This is a liveabililty survey that does not take into account things like weather? How horrible would it be to be stuck in freezing temps and snow for half the freakin’ year? Those better be some damn awesome autumn leaves to make up for that.

The good doctor told me today that the most conservative states are:

1. Wyoming

2. Mississippi

3. Utah

- - - - - -

So whatever this survey is about, I don’t give a rip.

Houston has been hovering around 98-100 degrees all week. Starting today it is going to be humid and hot. I hate the heat too but our falls winters and springs are wonderful.

I don’t see any mention of taxation in a livability ranking. Nor cost of living. I’d like to see the rankings with those factors included.

Wife and I made that decision 3 years ago. However, the real estate market in Biden land doesn’t exist. In 2 years that we’ve been trying to sell, not one offer. It has been MONTHS since ANYTHING sold in the suburbs.

BTW, I had the house reappraised and decreased only $25K (on a $500K house) in those 3 years.

Don’t let the Somalian limmigrants know this, or they will target these places to move to. I read an account here on FR about how a group of them in Atlanta deliberately looked for a small town with good “benefits” to move to, and found a nice little town in Maine and moved there en masse, in order to take advantage of the liberal entitlements there. They almost destroyed the town financially by overburdening the welfare system there. When the mayor and citizens expressed concern, the Somalians of course played the race card.

I can tell you that Mississippi has the largest percentage of blacks of any state. I wouldn’t doubt that that has something to do with our having the highest obesity rates and being last in most positive factors and first in most negative ones.

But we do take first place every year for charitable giving, which is pretty cool for the poorest state.

I still wouldn’t live anywhere else. At least our governor allowed us a vote on our flag-it was a Democrat at the time too!- while other states are afraid to let their citizens vote lest they vote “wrong”.

Michigan No. 38?

What a joke. Michigan is a welfare hellhole controlled by fascists.

Drive through Northern Michigan and see nothing but boarded up downtowns. People there pick berries to make a few bucks because there are no jobs. Everyone there is scam artist, trying to land a paycheck by faking injuries so they can qualify for social security disability or workmen’s comp. The place is infested with big, fat welfare mommas who are given three bedrooms homes and all the beer their boyfriends can drink.

Nearly every profitable business has left that place and moved south. The few that are left live off various government loans and grants. The only growable crops are rutabagas.

The roads are cowpaths. Winter is featured for 8 months a year, with some places averaging 200 inches of snow per season.

The No. 1 sport is showing up at the bars at 7am, after a hard night breaking into vacant homes and ripping out copper, and trying not to fall off the barstool before 5pm. Arson pays well, too.

New Jersey is great and South Carolina is saying once again, “Thank god for Mississippi”. So why is is that on the ground here in South Carolina one cannot swing a medicare card without hitting a black person who has recently retired and moved from New Jersey to South Carolina? They come back down here to enjoy the misery apparently.

The most livable states: 11. Connecticut

I wouldn't recommend Connecticut. Economically and socially it's going down hill and I don't see any change in direction for the near future. I'd tell my son when it's time “go south young man”. It's pretty much a dead end here.

“Yeah, don’t forget those chiggers in the summer, too.”
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Back in the fifties we had millions of chiggers (redbugs to a country boy) but now we have upgraded, no chiggers but millions of ticks.
