Did you think that, with the perspective that time tends to impart, Alan Grayson would have backed off his unhinged allegation that Republicans wanted sick people to die quickly? Trick question! I did say Alan Grayson. On the evening's Ed Show, the dippy Dem congressman from Florida emphatically stated that his ugly assertion, made on the floor of the House, was "the truth."
Grayson was responding to the suggestion by Kurt Kelly--one of the seven Republicans vying for the right to knock Grayson off--that by missing a vote on an allocation of funds for our overseas military, perhaps Grayson wanted the troops to die. Kelly was clearly riffing off Grayson's earlier allegation. That didn't stop Grayson from taking great umbrage, and claiming that the difference between his assertion and Kelly's was that Kelly was lying whereas he Grayson was telling "the truth."

ZOGBY POLL SHOWS LONG DECISIVELY BEATING GRAYSON
Conservative Ahead 46%-38% with 17-Point Lead Among Independents
Orlando—Today, conservative Republican Todd Long held a press conference on the steps of Democrat Alan Grayson’s office and announced the results of a July Zogby poll showing Long with an eight-point lead over Alan Grayson (D-FL) 46%-38%. The results also show Long with a commanding 17-point lead among independents in a district where independents make up about 30% of the vote.
Two issues with the poll...one, it is Zogby, which I don’t trust even if shows what I want, and two, Todd Long will not necessarily be his opponent as there is a primary and there are other candidates who could be the opponent. But, this is the latest poll I could find.
By the way, how does he get his eyebrows to do that?
What type of district would elect a putz like this guy?
