ATLANTA (AP) -- President Barack Obama says Republican leaders haven't come up with "a single, solitary new idea" to help the American people recover from the economic recession.

Speaking at a Democratic fundraiser, Obama said Republicans are simply hoping the public will forget that their policies are the same ones that led the country into the recession.

Obviously he hasn’t spent any time talking to Paul Ryan or Eric Cantor.

How about some old ones, like freedom, self-reliance, hard work, character, honesty, patriotism, loyalty, courage, piety, strength, humility...the ones that would be new to Obama.

Yes Bambi, we conservatives stubbornly cling to ideas that have a track record of WORKING. Also we cling to our Bibles and our guns. You’ll just have to get used to it.

Better no new ideas than no GOOD ideas, like you, boy president!

Cut the tax rate!!

Get rid of Unions.

Tell the teachers that they're not THAT special...They're draining the budget of every state.

Lift the drilling moratorium.

There's really no such thing as a new idea that will change things.

How about everyone not buy NIKE for a while....until they move the factory back to the USA.

Not that I accept Barry’s dopey demagoguery and brainless logic, but quite frankly I’d rather have “no ideas” that keep things stable than really, really bad ideas that make things irreparably worse.

Hmph - have you seen the state of the actual Constitution? It’s all yellowed and tattered. Obviously its contents are well out of date also.

No, we just have “old ideas” that just work, like belief in a market economy.

Since the good old US of A has outlasted the communist and socialist ideas of the USSR and others, I think I’ll stick with the old ideas that give me more freedom, liberty and prosperity.

You don’t need “new ideas” for problems that have already have known causes and solutions.

Socialism and centralized planning always cause the same death spiral in time. To the leftest more socialism and control is always the solution to the consequences of the previous attempted application of socialism and control until they consume everything resulting in total economic collapse.

The cause is well known and the solution is well known.

But leftest always think the other guy did it wrong and that they with their good intentions and personal genius can succeed at it where all others before them failed.

By the very definition of inanity - doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result - leftest are insane.

Give them the reigns of power and they’ll take you to their depths of insanity in short order.

And even Aristotle warned about the ‘tragedy of the commons’.
Communism, communitarianism, socialism, whatever you want to call it, lies on the ash heap of history.
What you see around you is the unwillingness of the ‘productive’ to participate in the ‘government guided invisible hand’ economy.
The United States will NEVER do ‘central planning’.
