Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said Sunday that Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer (R) has "the cojones" that President Obama "does not have" to take on illegal immigration. Appearing on "Fox News Sunday," Palin blasted Obama for suing Arizona to block the state's controversial new law without addressing "sanctuary cities" -- in which local law enforcement are prohibited from asking people about their immigration status.
The former governor said the president and congressional Democrats "are all wet" on plans to allow the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans to expire. "It's idiotic to think about increasing taxes at a time like this," Palin said. She added that her "palm isn't large enough" to write all her notes down and she proceeded to read prepared notes about tax policy from a sheet of paper.
Palin declined to address "fickle" polls showing that she remains unpopular with independents. "I don't blame people for not knowing what I stand for," Palin said. "If I believed everything I read in the media, I wouldn't like me either."

So what? Obama cannot win with his base, he won with the independents .
All I hear is how the GOP lost to the Dems and how worthless they are, well the GOP base could not get anyone elected either, again it came down to the independents and they were not there.
We might win this time with the tea party organizing and helping out, but I am beginning to worry about that since it is being shanghaied by the sorry ass tea party Federation and the Tea ârty Express.
Instead and unfortunatley the infighting over a poor choice of words just makes it easier for the left.
You are right, but the dems also cannot win without them. This isn’t about the presidential race, it is about the midterms and voter turnout.
Palin hasn’t hit it big with independents at this time. Neither did McCain for all the pandering and backstabbing he did.
Obama has mostly lost the Indies. We do not want them to stay home at midterms.
I love the Tea Parties, but they need to stay out of picking candidates. They are great for getting people involved and aware.
Obama cannot pass immigration reform without first passing card check. The unions won’t stand for it. Can you imagine the teamsters voting for someone who supported Obama’s immigration reform, so Walmart can legally hire Mexican truckers to haul their Chinese made goods?
Truth is if she is just commenting as a pundit and not a potential candidate, what she said is acceptable and no big deal.
I have heard worse out of many dem pundits. That doesn’t wee wee people up becuase they are just talking heads.
I am sure the dems will manage to work all of that out after the midterms are over and they gather for the lame duck session.
They may have nothing to lose.
And it is also quite possible Obama will just forget about Congress and just rule by fiat. He seems to find that quite easy.
The Democrats will not vote in immigration reform at the risk of turning off the AFL unions. There is just too much to lose with the union vote. Some of the unions are already beginning to see through the Obama education reform, which includes eliminating tenure and waking up to the fact that Obamacare is simply a step toward socialized medicine and that once it is fully implemented, it won’t matter that unions are exempted. Right now, the stupid union members think that Obamacare will only apply to non-union members, but some are waking up.
Karl Rove, the nitwit who just got done publicly flogging himself for not doing a better job in having Bush communicate.
Obviously he hasn’t learned a thing.
>>I preferred reading William F. Buckley in the old National Review, but both are gone.<<
Even the deepthinking Wm F Buckley once told Gore Vidal on television, “Shut up you G__d_____ queer, or I’ll punch you right in the face!”
Neither defending Palin’s comments nor condemning them, just an observation...
William F. Buckley’s “crude” response to Gore Vidal on television, after being called a “crypto-Nazi”:

Do you know he made the commitment in the second, private oath taken in court chambers? I don’t trust Justice Roberts to have given a truly “public’ oath in private.
“Theres GOT to be a more intellectual way to say the man has no balls, but for the life of me I cant think of it.”
In Latin, coleus was a popular word for the testicle, and coleos habere was a proverbial expression equivalent to to have balls (courage).
The derivation of cojon (sorry, I dont know how to type the accent) reflects the transformation of the sound L + yod into j by Latin speakers in Spain. Other examples are hijo from filius and hoja from folia. Thus the correct etymon of cojon/es is coleus. citing ovum as the etymon for huevo/s is, of course, correct.
Therefore, it seems that Palin could have said, accurately, that Obama is lacking coleus, but I doubt that most folks would have understood the word. ;>)
The guy has no ovum, either. LOL
I grow coleus in my garden!!!! I have two varieties.
LOL.
Thanks for the intellectual definition of “cojones”.
It was to make you laugh... I’m glad it did. ;>)
“It was to make you laugh... Im glad it did. ;>)”
Much more pleasant than all those sour posts sent me earlier today. You’re great.
Why don’t you worry about the Democrats and quit obsessing on individual statements by Republicans?
Bravo Sarah! No one would be talking about the fact that Obama has no ‘cojones’ if Sarah hadn’t said it out loud. Is anyone in the media disagreeing with her? or is it a given that he has no ‘cojones’? Everyone is getting the vapors that sweet Sarah has said in public what everyone says behind closed doors.
tell you what I will comment on either party right now and do so You on the other hand can just concentrate on the Dems
fair enough for you?
