Rescheduled, not cancelled: Breitbart to get RNC invite
The Republican National Committee has cancelled a fundraiser with conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart, who is under fire for promoting an edited video that falsely portrays former Agriculture Department employee Shirley Sherrod as having boasted about discriminating against a white farmer looking for her assistance.
Breitbart was scheduled to appear with RNC Chairman Michael Steele at a reception later this month in Beverly Hills.

As opposed to the Dems?
The OP(formerly the GOP)have been for decades leading people to believe they are the opposition to the RATs when in fact they are merely one wing of the socialist Republicrat party.

I will go back to funding the RNC when it starts being Republican!
The RNC has been Republican for a long time. That's the problem.

dump Steele uncerimoniously and let the sparks fly
it will make not one tenth a percentage point difference in how blacks vote
zip
and I will feel better
the national RNC seems to mimic the hold moderates have on the GOP here in Tennessee

Once again, Republicans bow to the leftists because it’s easier than doing their own thinking.
The real story here is that the NAACP members comprising the audience cheered when Sherrod stated she had screwed a white guy solely on the basis of his race.
They didn’t wait for the part where she claimed to have put her racism aside and in fact they couldn’t have cared less if she did.
To them the important part of the story is that she used her position of power to stick it to Whitey.
The gutless Republicans should be clearly stating their objections to the NAACP approval of racism instead of teaming with leftists to disparage Breitbart.

This isn't a bad thing.
Assuming that they are both working towards the same goal (ie, politically damaging and bringing down Obama and the Dems) such a move give both Breitbart AND the RNC a heck of a lot more maneuvering room to focus on their respective areas of specialty.
I'm assuming that most of us have seen the Mary Frances Berry interview where she says that it doesn't matter whether the Tea Party is racist or not - Dems still need to throw out the racism charge because it's an effective distraction against talking about a lack of jobs, etc (article
here.
If this fundraiser or any other joint activity takes place, then the media emphasis will be on the
relationship, rather than what is actually being said and exposed. "Plausible deniability" in the form of both sides (Breitbart and the RNC) being able to claim independence and distance from one another is an effective counter to such tactics.

Your plan is way, way too smart.
If the RNC was that smart we wouldn’t be in the mess we’re in right now. We wouldn’t have gotten here in the first place.

Mrs. panax and I left the GOP and registered with the Conservative Party. When they purge the RINO’s maybe we’ll come back, maybe.

Instead of getting rid of him, let’s just set up a parallel unit. Sarah Palin can head it, gather national funds for conservative folks. Maybe call it Conservative National Committee instead of Republican NC. Could overlap when feasible, contribute to conservatives when RINOS were backed by the RNC. Flex muscles.
