This isn't a bad thing.

Assuming that they are both working towards the same goal (ie, politically damaging and bringing down Obama and the Dems) such a move give both Breitbart AND the RNC a heck of a lot more maneuvering room to focus on their respective areas of specialty.

I'm assuming that most of us have seen the Mary Frances Berry interview where she says that it doesn't matter whether the Tea Party is racist or not - Dems still need to throw out the racism charge because it's an effective distraction against talking about a lack of jobs, etc (article here.

If this fundraiser or any other joint activity takes place, then the media emphasis will be on the relationship, rather than what is actually being said and exposed. "Plausible deniability" in the form of both sides (Breitbart and the RNC) being able to claim independence and distance from one another is an effective counter to such tactics.

Your plan is way, way too smart.

If the RNC was that smart we wouldn’t be in the mess we’re in right now. We wouldn’t have gotten here in the first place.
