Dozens of protesters were arrested after confronting police in riot gear in Phoenix today. The protesters waved the Mexican flag as they protested Arizona's recent crackdown on illegal immigration.
Do you see what I see?
Video at link.
The Republican Party needs to get some great footage out of this event and have the guts to include it in a lot of campaign ads this fall. Not holding my breath.
Awww! Someone just said I was silly for saying anyone going to these protests after the judge’s ruling are just pro-illegal. That they were just peacefully protesting. This doesn’t look so peaceful.
No shortage of AnswerCoalition signs and Che t-shirts.
Sic ‘em, Governor Brewer.
Excellent Hammer! How often lately, do I see similarity between the modern American left and the Mathias cult of The Omega Man.
I just about lost my breakfast this morning looking at AP photos of these celebrating a-holes.
Mark my words, When SB 1070 becomes law, in it’s entirety, expect riots and looting in the streets. If I were Gov. Brewer, I would have the national guard on stand-by. Pray that I am wrong
At least a third of Americans support communism. Nothing new here.
Good material for campaign advertising. A picture is worth a thousand words.
Nothing like the image of a Communist thug murderer to get the American people to want you removed from the country asap.
Keep it up you morons...you will facilitate your own crash and burn... :o)
If the law ultimately is passed, they'll call it "retribution".
If the law is repealed they'll call it "justica"
Federal Immigration and Nationality Act Section 8 USC 1324(a)(1)(A)(iv)(b)(iii)
"State and local law enforcement officials have the general power to investigate and arrest violators of federal immigration statutes without prior INS knowledge or approval, as long as they are authorized to do so by state law. There is no extant federal limitation on this authority.
The 1996 immigration control legislation passed by Congress was intended to encourage states and local agencies to participate in the process of enforcing federal immigration laws. Immigration officers and local law enforcement officers may detain an individual for a brief warrantless interrogation where circumstances create a reasonable suspicion that the individual is illegally present in the U.S. Specific facts constituting a reasonable suspicion include evasive, nervous, or erratic behavior; dress or speech indicating foreign citizenship; and presence in an area known to contain a concentration of illegal aliens."
The US military should have been sent to the southern border in mass long before now... this will do nothing but get ugly from here on in...
Declare war on Mexico! Now! We are systematically being invaded!
The military should have begun arriving on the border by 9/12/01.
Exactly, the fuse has been lit
Ideally yeah but surely by now....
Wonder how bad it would have been had the judge made the proper ruling against them.
Now that they’re all huddled in one place, all we need is a helicopter and a really, really big net...
Why would the GOP do that? Most of them agree with the mexicans.
