Colorado Republican Senate candidate Ken Buck has once again talked himself into some trouble - this time by calling certain tea-party activists "dumbasses" for questioning the legitimacy of President Obama's birth certificate.
According to the Denver Post, Buck was caught on tape saying in June, "Will you tell those dumbasses at the Tea Party to stop asking questions about birth certificates while I'm on camera." He added, laughing: "God, what am I supposed to do?"
Buck was speaking to a Democratic operative who had secretly recorded the conversation.
Buck, who enjoys strong support from the Tea Party movement, has since somewhat walked back the remarks, though he focused on language, not content.
"I'm not suggesting the language was appropriate," Buck told the Post today. "But after 16 months of being on the campaign trail, I was tired and frustrated that I can't get that message through that we are going to go off a cliff if we don't start dealing with this debt."

Apparently you are unable to understand sentences that contain dependent clauses. That's all right. You are not alone.
Go back to DU, troll.
Very original comment, newbie.
Let's face facts: people want solutions to this country's problems that Congress can vote on and implement.
They are not interested in a legal battle that will be held up in the federal court system by Democrat judges until after January 20, 2017.
Anyone who thinks that litigation in the federal courts is the answer is, indeed, a dumbass.
Before I even went to his website I just knew he went to an Ivy League School............and I was right.............
Aren’t the real dumb-asses those that will not demand proof of natural born citizenship?
I mean, they did it with McCain, didn’t they?
+1
Agree. This is an issue that will be a complete loser for conservatives who choose to run with it. Let the National Enquirer or someone else come up with any proof to these allegations, if there is any. People believe them more than politicians anyways! Any conservative running for office should focus on the much larger problems at hand.
Years ago a master electrician asked me a question. How much effort should be put into getting a job done? I answered: enough to get the job done adequately. Not enough effort and, obviously, the job is incomplete; too much effort wastes resources.
There is no doubt in my mind that there is some sort of problem w/ Obama's BC. But the people who have taken the time to understand the intricacies of this issue should also be smart enough to understand that it is a waste of time and effort for him to get involved with this issue. And - go figure - that appears to be what he is pointing out.
Is this the same type who is tired and frustrated in the fact as with many pop-culture politicians;
Reading legislation/bills takes too much effort; Knowing the details of legislation only happens after it becomes law; Does not wish to be bothered with responsibility by assigning power to agencies as avoidance of accountability; To take time to determine the legitimacy of a constitutional position; That illegal aliens are illegal and impact the social and economic structure of America negatively ..uhm
I would say this clown is another dumbass RINO; just on his own statements alone.
“FREE THE LONG FORM!”
You’re a coward.
I agree with him if he is referring to making that issue a central issue. I do not however believe that questioning the crendentials of Obama is inappropriate. McCain’s birth was questioned, Trig’s birth mother was questioned, what makes Obama special? The 9-11 truthers who still think Bush let 9-11 happen are real dumb asses but the media never saw fit to highlight that very divisive angry “truther” movement. Buck made a mistake in only elevating birtherism to something that will drive us off a cliff which it clearly will not no more than 9-11 trutherism drove Barrack Obama and his crew of merry “men” off a cliff. The Democrats kissed Michael Moore’s ass and never paid for it.
Republicans and conservatives need to stop thinking they can be “heroes” for finding a “fringe” element to bash. It doesn’t get you points in the leftist media hell but talking about it does give them yet another media cycle to bash not only you but to use your statement to trash the whole tea party.
I still think Buck is the best person in this race but I can’t figure out what he thought he was gaining with this.
Barack Obama does have a shady back ground, he still hasn’t been forth coming with a whole slew of medical, education, and other documents.
If he is already doing it at a time as sensitive as a campaign, he won't flinch a bit after the election. Defeat him now before he joins the enemy camp and draws a paycheck from your wallet.
You may be getting confused with Repubs McInnis or Maes who are running for Gov in the primary, and
Buck is in a battling against Jane Norton for the Republican Senate nomination.
Obama's in office, he's not going to be impeached, so folks should stop dreaming about it. Instead, they should concentrate their efforts on making their States' Secretaries-of-State to tighten the eligibility requirements for appearing on a ballot. If Obama is not a citizen, then it should catch him the second time.
Yep, you nailed it.
The people who want him to chase this issue are also dumb a$$es. He needs to focus on getting into office, not satisfying their inner Orly.
This from the very person using language straight from the DU lexicon. Who exactly is the DU troll?
Yet some on this thread want to play into their hands - even by unthinkingly parroting the MSM spin: that his comments are a blanket condemnation of the Tea Party movement rather than a condemnation of the small minority of the Tea Party movement who actually believe that a fight over Obama's credentials is a winning fight.
LOL!
Says the bold anonymous Internet poster.
I'm savoring the irony.
Rhetroical Question?
Then let me ask one. Do you agree that TEA Partiers are dumbasses? And that Certifigate is a settled issue just like Bob Gibbs has said all along?
....Who exactly is the DU troll?....
You ask a good question. So why don’t you answer it?
You score a point as this article is from cBS, but you're stirring the pot.
