Insurgent Colorado Senate candidate Ken Buck is apologizing for a degrading remark he made about the Tea Party movement last month that was caught on tape by a Democratic tracker.
The Denver Post and 9News is expected to report Sunday night that Buck referred to the members of the Tea Party as "dumbasses" after a campaign event in Crowley, Colo. last month.
"Will you tell those dumbasses at the Tea Party to stop asking about birth certificates? Woah, I'm on camera. God, what am I supposed to do?," Buck says on the tape, according to his campaign.
Buck campaign spokesman Owen Loftus told POLITICO that the candidate spent Sunday explaining and apologizing for the remark in interviews with the state's two dominant news outlets.
"Ken points out he does gets frustrated at times with those individuals pushing those issues. He shouldn't have cussed. He regrets the remark. He was venting his frustration to a Democratic tracker and he shouldn't of," said Loftus.
Loftus said that Buck, whose candidacy has been fueled in part by Tea Party members uninspired by one-time GOP frontrunner Jane Norton, was aware he was speaking to a Democratic tracker and simply made a mistake. The birther issue has been a tricky one for Buck to navigate: While he signaled he would support legislation to ensure a presidential candidate has U.S. citizenship at a meet-and-greet in June, he has also stressed it is not a priority for his campaign.

So you are a nutty birther.
We sane people don’t care for the crazy crap.
Please read my post #79.
Why do we let the Marxist left define us?
Anyone who would wither and shrink in fear because the Marxist media would laugh at them is a FOOL! Actually someone who would do this is revealing their true character.
If a person can NOT defend the Constitution when the only consequence is a little mocking from the Marxist media, why on earth would we expect them to defend it in the face of real tyranny, jack boots in the streets, and gas ovens roaring full blast?
If they can’t defend the Constitution now I **KNOW** they will sell their talents to the fascist oligarchy and be traitors to our nation and for everything our Founding Fathers fought. They are slimy weasels.
By the way, when Chris Wallace let Howard Dean call him and those on Fox News “racists”, he should have called security, ended the interview, and had him hauled off the set, and thrown out of the building! That is the proper response!
What would Cris Wallace have done if Dean had called him a “murderer”? Huh? Tried to rationally explain why he was not?
Would somebody please tell the dumbass Loftus and the dumbass reporter that the correct phrase is "he shouldn't have"!
“ain’t going to do squat except make us look like a bunch of Alex Jones kooks.”
To whom? You’ve been watching too much ABCNNBCBS or listening to Dem talking points. Already, one US Senator has said this bears looking in to. It’s not always popular to demand facts. Is it better to be a truther or a liar?
Which of the numbered points in my blog post at http://butterdezillion.wordpress.com/2010/01/11/red-flags-in-hawaii-2/ are you saying is inaccurate?
Or are you just saying that you don’t care about the facts and anybody who does is crazy?
Generally I’ve found that people who reduce this issue to “You’re crazy and I’m smart” do so because it’s all their minds are willing to handle.
I actually have a follow-up to that. I received this reply this morning in my inbox:
Nellie,
Youre right, technically that is incorrect. To be precise we should have stated that the Obama campaign released the birth certificate but that Hawaii officials from the Department of Health have verified its legitimacy. But that is not materially important, and I am not going to engage in any of your continued speculation, which includes publishing your letter. If that is how you care to spend your time, have at it and continue the debate on your blog or wherever. But we are comfortable this has been well researched and determined and isnt something to which we will devote more time and space.

I’ve responded with this:
John, to be precise - as I have stated and documented on my blog - the HDOH has NOT verified the Factcheck COLB’s legitimacy, nor can they legally do so (according to their own claims).
You still are not grasping the basic facts of this issue, and are thus misreporting it.
As journalists, you have a responsibility to correct errors that you have made in your reporting. Are you telling me that you will not correct this error?
Nellie
What I’m actually afraid of is that the Soros-Islamist alliance was behind the electronic run on the bank that brought the economic crisis to a head - timed just when McCain was surging in the polls because of his choice of Palin as a running-mate - and that those powers-that-be basically told Congress, Bush, and SCOTUS that unless they did X, Y, & Z (including putting Obama in as POTUS) they would destroy the entire world ecnonomy, as Soros has single-handedly done to individual countries several times.
The thing is, if this is what happened, then the dems don’t have to fear elections at all, because if Soros and the Islamists had the money and the audacity to do it once there is nothing to keep them from doing it again, at the time of their choosing. An automatic October Surprise.
I don’t know how we defend ourselves against this kind of game plan, but I think what the dems have been doing is only going to make it worse. The fact that Obama told the Egyptian ambassador that he was and still is a Muslim in support of the “Muslim agenda” is very concerning, because that would include worldwide sharia (including sharia-compliant banking, on which there was a big seminar shortly after the weekend where Congress declared martial law so they could bail out the banks) and the destruction of the US and Israel.
Soros has said that he is afraid the US will win “the war on terror” because then America will be strong, and America is the source of capitalism which is destroying the world. We know Obama is not in any way interested in winning the war on terror either - as we observe how his people handled the Underwear Bomber and as we see the AQ-inspired druglords taking over parts of Arizona while Obama argues that Arizona can’t defend herself from the onslaught when the feds refuse to do one of the few things the Constitution actually mandates for them to do: protect the nation and the states from invasion.
When I look at all the people - even conservatives - who have pissed on the rule of law in all this, this scenario is about the only one that makes sense to me and explains it all. I hope I’m wrong.
Buck is not running for gov.
Especially since we know that nobody at the DNC ever asked to see Obama’s documentation from the Hawaii Dept of Health.
AND especially since we know that Obama’s amended BC has no legal evidentiary value unless and until a judicial or administrative person or body determines that it does after it is presented to them as evidence.
IOW, there is NO WAY that Pelosi and Germond could even know whether Obama is qualified without the legal procedure of verification by a judge or legal official that the birthers have been asking for all along. Hawaii law (HRS 338-17) absolutely agrees with the “birther” demands.
Ah, and you posted this thread because you are not a “nutty” birther. What did you hope to accomplish by posting this thread?
Guess what? It might be a vote loser comment for me, if I lived in his state.
Many of the elected officials disdain those that elected them; and after they gain name recognition, it is not often they are ousted from their position. This has the effect of legislators, Senators, etc., acting like the ruling class; they control the office they have, and how they see themselves is above the constituents.
God bless us and help us in our day, in Jesus name, amen.
I posted this thread because it shows Buck to be stupid.
He thinks the tea party is made up of birthers?
Guess again.
It isn’t and you and your ilk aren’t welcome.
The rule of law and Constitution aren’t welcome in this country either, but they’re there whether you like it or not.
And they’re going to stay, if I have anything to say about it. And I do.
The original Tea Party which threw tea into the Boston Harbor was ALL ABOUT the rule of law. They were about fighting the lawlessness of King George’s government and throwing off that government precisely because it had contempt for the governed and for the rule of law.
If the Tea Party isn’t made up of birthers, or even welcome birthers - whose only issue is that the rule of law is to be followed in this land - then it has chosen the wrong label for itself.
Are you for the rule of law in this nation, or not?
Are you for media accuracy in this country, or not?
Amen. I second that, in Jesus’ name.
If a politician can’t hold their ground with ONE democrat tracker, there’s no way he’s going to maintain any integrity in Corruption City where the government, media, and law enforcement all share the same bed.
PS, vote for Tom. He's in.
I wonder if somebody could make a citizen’s arrest of her, for the crime of perjury.
Mornin’ ButterD!
Repubs bashing birthers is just dumb. But there are valid arguments to be made against “going there” so to speak.
But we’ve been given the gift of free will. And it is a personal choice.
To tell someone they’re not welcome — the height of arrogance.
And very bad manners.

No judge will ever touch this, because were it to play out in such a way that we found out Obama was indeed a foreign national, the race riots that would ensue when he was removed from office would be catastrophic.
Every judge and politician has been briefed on this, you can be sure.
Thats why they all say the same thing over and over about this issue.
For the record, Im not a birther more of a curiosity hound.

For the record, this is a good argument for not covering the eligibility issue.
And there are other good arguments.
But calling birthers crazy and/or racists.
That was a mistake.
BTW, I am praying that Repubs take back the House, because one-party rule scares the you know what out of me.
So I’ve been saying for a while:
Repub candidates should not “go there” as regards the eligibility issue.
But if asked, just say as far as you know, Obama is eligible.
But Americans have the right to ask any question they wish.
For example, a constituent might ask, why does Obama have more than one Social Security number?
You know, the question Gibbs still hasn’t answered.
I think we may be headed toward race riots if Obama and his DOJ are NOT stopped.
This guy has done more to damage race relations than anybody I can think of.
But I don’t think it’s necessarily fear of race riots that makes the judges fearful of this. I think it may be that Soros and the Islamists have joined together to make the electronic run on the bank and hold the entire world economy hostage - the Islamists in order to institute sharia-compliant finance and thereby force the entire world to be subject to sharia in order to buy and sell (a stealth way to get rid of infidels), and Soros to undo capitalism.
I believe that at the secret meetings between Congress, Bernanke, Paulson, Bush, etc, it was made clear that there was an ultimatum: bail out the banks and elect Obama or else there will be another run and world capitalism will fall. Bush at that time was saying that if they didn’t do the bank bailouts it would be the end of the Western world. I believe he said that at gunpoint, basically.
I believe it is the beast out of the sea and the beast out of the land - corrupt government and corrupt religion working together to serve Satan. If it’s the time when God allows them to have the authority to do this, I expect things to get very bad very soon.
Race riots would be nothing compared to what we’ll face.
