Apparently Krauthammer agrees too. I havent seen it yet, but according to one of Aces co-bloggers, CK said on Special Report a few minutes ago that Sherrod deserves an apology and her job back. The NAACPs statement:

I think what they did was laugh at themselves knowing they too have felt or had the same thoughts. She was obviously trying to make a teaching point. Her point was, the guy was poor and needed help....we have to help the poor no matter what color they are....that was my job.
What the video did was show only part of a story...just like MSNBC did with the racist person at a tea party rally. What MSNBC didnt show was the confrontation of tea party people asking the guy to leave because he did not represent the party...they asked him if he was not going to leave then to turn his shirt inside out ( he wore a swastika t-shirt). MSNBC only show the guy with the t-shirt at the tea party rally and said it was evidence of the racism that goes on within the party......
CONTEXT DOES MATTER!

Ok here the part of this I find hasn't been mentioned.
She was fired by Obama and Vilsack without them doing any basic fact checking as to her guilt or innocence.
That again points up the incompetence of this administration.

They are just trying to make it about her and not about the hypocrisy of the NCAACP and their movement to shift the discussion from the economy to fake racists... Nail.Head.Bang!
You summed up the whole kerfuffle in one sentence. Hat tip.

Do you think Obama has repudiated the hateful racist ideology he practiced for twenty years and taught to his children?Yes. Just in the nick of time for the 2008 election. /s

Class bias?!?
She was helping people save their farms...it’s not like rich folks were walking in there.
The point is that she needed to help all poor people, not just black poor people.

In case you didn't see it, ping to
POST #5 and the rest of the thread. The woman Sherrod is a racist slob and it boggles my mind that she has defenders anywhere, but especially here.

Wow, when will you “play nice” conservatives learn? Hussein and his lackeys never ever ever ever EVER ever recind or go back....they destroy and conquer.
Now, if the right caves on this, it’ll be a sign of weakness. Did the left apologize for lynching Trent Lott? Rush Limbaugh? Any other person who is NOT a racist whom they label??? EVER????
Wake up.

I think what they did was laugh at themselves knowing they too have felt or had the same thoughts. They didn't just laugh they cheered and said things like "right" and "yeah!" How does that fit into your apologetic? It wasn't nervous laughter either.

I am watching cnn and pmsnbc tonight defend this and rip Andrew and I wonder where this is for the Tea Party. That is why Andrew is so good.
To: Hojczyk
Here's the lead-in to her story, to give the context...
"When I made the commitment, years ago, I didn't know how...I prayed about it that night...asking God to show me what could do. The path wasn't laid out that night...I just made the decision...and over the years things just happen.
And young people, I just want you to know...When you're true to what God wants you to do, the path just opens up..{all right} ...things just come to you...{applause}...God is good, I can tell you that {Amen}...
When I was making that commitment, I was making it to black people, and to black people only. But you know God will show you things and He'll put things in your path so that you realize that the struggle is really about poor people {alright, alright}..."
I used "all right" and "alright" to differentiate the ways they were expressed.
She basically slammed the idea of it being all about race.
