Michael Savage's VICIOUS Attack On Glenn Beck Over 'Going Blind' Revelation
The Daily Beck ^ | July 20, 2010 | Michael Savage

Posted on 07/20/2010 11:11:35 AM PDT by amabokcarab

Sorry, but I just have to say this.

WTF is wrong with this guy? I've been tolerating this kind of BS from this guy Savage because I agree with him on a lot of issues, but this is way over the top- NO MORE!!!!!

Regardless of whether you like both/either one of these guys, don't you think this is counterproductive and divides conservatives at a time we REALLY REALLY need to be together?

Michael Savage attacks Glenn Beck; calls him the 'hemorrhoid with eyes', crazy, and a fraud (among other things) after Glenn announces he may be going blind.

He also predicts 'something is about to happen' to Glenn that will conveniently increase his ratings.

Savage also claims that Beck is a failure in radio, but um..has anyone compared their ratings?

You’re “pretty sure I need to take a literacy course?”
Yet, you were not directing any insults at me. Sure, buddy.

My “over the top” response? A bit thin-skinned, aren’t you?

Describing you as juvenile is quite mild, and your irrational hatred of Michael Savage is a sight to behold. Where you get the notion that I “idolize” Dr. Savage is a mystery to me.

You go on ahead, and keep on thinking like you do. I’m sure you’ll do just fine in this world.

Hear, hear. Compared to the news from the RAT party meaning ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, Nytimes—most in the new media are a breath of truth and justice. Without the new media, the old media monopoly would still have total control over “the news.”

Well, IMHO, they all have their virtues and they all have their vices. I like each of them, Limbaugh, Levin, Beck, Hannity, Savage, etc. for their virtues, and I ignore their vices. If Savage goes on a rant, I turn him off for the appropriate 5 or 10 minutes, and then turn him back on when I think he is done. When any of them bore me, I do the same, turn off, and then turn back on when I think I will be past the speed bump.

They all though, are patriots, trying to give people an outlet where they can vent, and they all are doing what they think they can to save our country from the evildoers, both domestic and foreign. Bravo to all of them. They had the guts to get on the radio, express their viewpoints, and add what they can to the discussion of conservative ideas, and to speak from their political expertise. Filling 2-3 hours every day with talk on the issues of the day may sound easy but it isn’t. I admire their risk taking and obviously it has paid off for all of them. Talk radio rocks. Without it, conservatism would be greatly diminished by an inability to get the word out. Thank goodness each of these talk radio hosts exists.””

Hear, hear. Everyone of the conservatives in the new media are hated by the libs/progs/obamamites, and that my friends, is a good thing. Please consider attacking the old media, not the new—they are our allies. The old media monopoly is the enemy and have done more to put the country in this state disarray then any force on the planet.

Exactly....They are all welcomed in my home...and they all at times can be just as annoying as they are informative. We forget that these are are entertaining as well as informative.

The others have the same raw edge SAvage has but with more constraint...but that is part of the attraction to Savage...he often states what others are thinking even if they don’t say it.

As for Glen Beck...informative yes, but he goes off the ddep end time and again as well. But his putting out there he might or not be going blind was in bad taste in my book. When it’s confirmed you are then share it...until then the tears and such didn’t work for me. Rather being grateful that he still has his sight and may never loose it should have been celebrated.

"I've long thought that this is Savage's real job. He's crazy like a fox, portraying the conservative positions in such an insane way that he absolutely polarizes politics and drives any liberals who are starting to think for themselves back into the Leftist fold. That he does this out of the SF Bay Area makes perfect sense."

That's very perceptive, Talisker.

And like an 'angel of light' he will speak ninety-nine words of truth in order to sneak in one lie.

I believe he outed himself, giving credence to your summation when he opined about 'assault' rifles in one of his editorials.

As the saying goes, "The Truth will out!"

They all though, are patriots,
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I used to believe as you do....**but** ...then came the deal breaker! Obama’s eligibility and natural born status!

Sorry...But, now, given how these so-called “conservative” yappers ignored this important constitutional issue, their avoidance of this issue has made me very wary of their patriotism and trustworthiness.

If Rush, and the rest, can't defend the Constitution ( ALL of it, even that itty bitty little phrase about being natural born) when all they face is a little ridicule from the mainstream media, then why one earth would anyone expect them to defend the Constitution and freedom in the face of real tyranny, concentration camps, and jack boots in the streets? Huh? Patriots? I DOUBT IT!!

When these guys cry over the Constitution and claim to love it, it mere acting and all show.

If we ever are under the heavy hand of oppression in this nation, Rush, and the rest, will sell their talents to the fascist oligarchy and spit shine the jack boots crushing our necks.

Some things are deal breakers. Some actions reveal true character.

Guess you are right if you consider your speculation is somehow related to fact. You sound ready to return to the days of the old media monopoly that did more to put this chain around our neck than any single entity. You should be grateful the monopoly is busted and stop buying the attacks from the left.

Bad JUJU! It is.

Michael is being outrageous, Glenn is also often outrageous, in a different way. I like them both for different reasons. They are not playing by the political correctness play book. Thank You, Lord.

They at least have the sticks to deliver truth on occasion and not butter up to the big wigs in the medias, government, etc. each has their own audience. Both outrageous, both are outside the what is considered acceptable news. I like Rush too. When during Clinton's terms he refused to actually be for Bill's impeachment ... he lost me in so far as there being any real commitment behind his words. He does have insight, he does inform ... that acts as a outlet for the people and helps defuse their angst!!! MOO

To each his own. Look at the results.

God help us in our day, in Jesus name, amen.

Hey! Are things better off then they used to be? Yes! Absolutely!

But...Remember, Rush, Beck, Ingram, Levine, and the rest, are actors and entertainers. Patriots? Nope! How they have handled Obama’s eligibility is a deal breaker for me. I will never trust them again.

Some actions prove true character.

Blood of Tyrants: You and most on this thread either don't understand his shtick or simply don't like him. He's copying Don Rickles. Some callers get the joke and laugh with him. Here's some good advice: do your best not to make of his shtick (or of Beck's) more than what it is.

The whole Savage against the world is shtick. Gotten old shtick as far as many are concerned, me included. But he uses it alongside some other very good stuff.

I prefer his FREE podcast so I can skip BS like this. I recommend that to any listeners who used to like him but can't stand his antics.

I think I understand why he does what he does (I've spoken of it elsewhere) -- and it costs him listener-ship. There is not a doubt in my mind that he knows it too.

If any of you check the daily Savage threads, I'm hardly a rah rah fan. Even though Savage has some good stuff, I never buy any of it until I get more facts, because everyone in media is spinning something. These talkers don't get such big bucks without the blessing of those I would not like and neither would most others on FR.

Never forget that Beck is an employee of Murdoch. Murdoch is a major amnesty proponent. More about that later.

Savage is a bit affiliated with Joe Farah and Andrew Breitbart, and both of them have been lashed by Savage's biting tongue. Jeff Kunar was bitterly hit by Savage one day, but still substitute hosts for Savage. It's shtick people!

BTW, the guy you responded at number 2 -- and for that matter all the other me-toos for the next few minutes -- didn't have time to have listened to the 4:50 minute clip before unloading on Savage. IOW, they are using this as an excuse to vent, which I think is what Savage lives for. I think he trolls his own radio show. I'm hoping you guys finally get it, because Savage is only the most obvious of all of them.

First of all, for those of you who have not listened to what is recorded on the Youtube, it isn't even close to vicious. It is at best insensitive if Beck were REALLY losing his eye-sight.

However, even Beck and his crew makes jokes about it. Here's an example from Tuesday's radio show:

The crying jag with Beck is part of his shtick. Playing the avuncular (at best) to nasty (at worst) New Yorker is Savage's.

Second: In addition to the hyped headline not born out by the clip, the whole point comes at the end of the clip. A recent talker's poll pushed Beck ahead of Savage (even though they both show 9 million listeners, so who really knows?) And "The Daily Beck" (hint, hint) is gloating that Savage dropped from 3rd to 4th. These guy's do it to each other. I'm with all of you when you say "the right talkers ALL have to stop the internal fighting"-- that is if they were REALLY, fully on our side.

In the overall scheme of things: Don't trust anyone on radio or TV because the FCC is always watching and listening, so they have to be willing to discredit themselves from time to time just so Big Brother has that handle on them. Well, that, and they're all human and will also be less than ideal. It should be hard to trust anyone who is under the Federal thumb in addition to the fact that they have so much more material wealth that they have at risk than the rest of us.

Statism doesn’t need to control all its leading opponents. It seeks out a few who have a handle or two and -- when the moment is ripe -- twists.

I used to listen to Savage until they took him off the air here. He was always ranting about Rush and Hannity, calling them insulting names. Now that Beck has been added to his hate list, the pattern becomes obvious.

I think he is horribly jealous of those with better ratings...which list is apparently getting longer.

My cat was put down last year. She was an Australian Tree Cat. I have thought of getting two cats so they could keep each other company while I am at work. Not sure if better to get adult cats or litter trained kittens. What say you oh cat lover?

“...but this attack is just vicious.”

I’ve good reason to doubt that watched the 4:50 minute Youtube.

The word “VICIOUS” was added by “The Daily Beck” and was parroted in this thread title (FR rules).

But the clip doesn’t live up to the headline.

The first 6 or so posters couldn’t have heard it either, since they posted less than 4 minutes after this thread was posted. Peer pressure, Herding technique, pecking order, coordinated hit, whatever.

It’s all ploy. It’s ploy by Savage, it’s ploy by Beck. It’s bad for those of us who resist Statist growth.

See number 193 for more. More of us to understand the game.

Savage is a self-made man who pulled himself up by the bootstraps. All too often an unfortunately, self-made men who got no help along the way adapt the attitude that it is “me alone against the world”. It is very obvious that is Savage’s attitude on the world. This is extremely common among self-made men.

Now take one from New York City, where the culture is one of direct bluntness, and you have an extremely abrasive person. This causes problems for himself and is why no major conservatives rushed to defend him for being banned by the British home secretary.

I don’t like his personality but he is brilliant in his perception of the world. He knew the “Durham Dirtbag” was lying when I was still shouting at him to wait for the evidence. He broke the Dubai Ports story and never let go, causing a flood of people to demand that Dubai not be allowed to manage our ports.

He is abrasive and defensive, but he is extremely perceptive. I wish I could listen to him daily as he is interesting and informative and generally right.

I prefer Beck’s delivery and I value Beck as a wonderful resource for exposing Obama’s communist agenda and personnel, in crystal clear detail.

Both men need to be culled but both are extremely useful as a source of information. I find Beck to be more useful than Savage, but I wish I could hear Savage more often as he is an extremely perceptive man.

“I wish I could hear Savage more often as he is an extremely perceptive man.”

Well, here’s your wish.
http://www.mediafly.com/Podcasts/Feeds/The_Michael_Savage_Show_Podcast

But it can be rough going finding out which of the MAYBE 15 minutes in the under 2 hours without breaks is the most useful.

Sometimes those on the Daily Savage thread make note of when the Doc is hot so that would help locate it on the podcast, where Each hour of broadcast is about 37 minutes there. Gage it so you don’t have to listen to all of it.

I’ve saved a few of the best, and even shortened them by editing. But so far this week Savage has been pretty useless IMO. As I pointed out above, his attacks on Beck are part of a ploy among conservative hosts that don’t help you and me but helps the Statists.

Statism doesn’t need to control all its leading opponents. It allows those to advance whom it knows to have a handle or two and — when the moment is ripe — twists.

2 cats fer sure. They do more damage that way!

Litter mates get along better in my experience.

The dumb furball I have now does not like other cats, but gets along with the neighbors yellow lab.
