Former Senate majority leader Trent Lott (R-Miss.), now a D.C. lobbyist, warned that a robust bloc of rabble-rousers spells further Senate dysfunction. "We don't need a lot of Jim DeMint disciples," Lott said in an interview. "As soon as they get here, we need to co-opt them."
But Lott said he's not expecting a tea-party sweep. "I still have faith in the visceral judgment of the American people," he said.

“Screw you, Lott.”
The old cheerleader might like it.

Trent Lott is a lobbyist, he needs typical DC conmen to do his job.

Testicle Envy can be an ugly thing...It sure does show that Sen. DeMint is having an impact with the old boys network.

"It sure does show that Sen. DeMint is having an impact with the old boys network." I totally agree but I really want to see the man run for President. If he doesn't he is wasting a great opportunity. I was a supporter of Fred Thompson before the last election and am now eating crow and admitting that Thompson did not, as some said, have the "fire in the belly" needed to run. There are certainly others I could and would support if DeMint does not run (or get the nomination if he does run) but as far as I'm concerned he's the man.

Frankly, I believe her to be very astute about different districts, different politics in varying states, and the ability for one to be elected. Also, I believe her to be loyal to McCain. That doesn’t necessarily mean she agrees with him on everything.
I think it’s the 80% Reagan rule...
