Former Senate majority leader Trent Lott (R-Miss.), now a D.C. lobbyist, warned that a robust bloc of rabble-rousers spells further Senate dysfunction. "We don't need a lot of Jim DeMint disciples," Lott said in an interview. "As soon as they get here, we need to co-opt them."
But Lott said he's not expecting a tea-party sweep. "I still have faith in the visceral judgment of the American people," he said.
He’s a lobbyist now, not a Senator.

Trent Lott just pointed out what is wrong with the US Senate. The US Senate is a good ole boys club set up to take care of a few elite individuals....the heck with the ordinary citizen.

The title referred to the derogatory label McCain staffers gave her when she would speak to the media without their permission. When Palin finally agreed to campaign for McCain earlier this year, it was widely speculated that she did so unwillingly. Noticeably, she did not tweet about her two appearances in Arizona for McCain, although she tweeted about her appearance at Tea Party Express rally against Harry Reid in his hometown of Searchlight, Nevada, taking place at the same time. Yeah, she was dragged kicking and screaming to tell the people of Arizona that McCain was the best candidate for the job. If so, that doesn't say much about her convictions then does it? And any speculation is an attempt to explain her endorsement of McCain away.
