Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) announced today she has filed paperwork to form the "House Tea Party Caucus".
Bachmann posted a statement to her House Web site along with a copy of a letter initiating the process:

Today, U.S. Representative Michele Bachmann filed paperwork to start a House Tea Party Caucus to promote Americans’ call for fiscal responsibility, adherence to the Constitution, and limited government.
"The American people are speaking out loud and clear. They have had enough of the spending, the bureaucracy, and the government knows best mentality running rampant today throughout the halls of Congress. This caucus will espouse the timeless principles of our founding, principles that all Members of Congress have sworn to uphold," Bachmann stated. "The American people are doing their part and making their voices heard and this caucus will prove that there are some here in Washington willing to listen."
A letter was sent earlier today to Representative Robert Brady, Chairman of the Committee on House Administration to register the House Tea Party Caucus as a Congressional Member Organization for the 111th Congress
According to MinnPost.com the caucus would be open to Members without regard to party affiliation.

What is Michelle doing to remove Waltz? I hope both Bachman and Kline are focusing on removing Waltz for his traditionally GOP district. I am hoping also the GOP has found a combat veteran to run against him. “Sergeant Major” Waltz made it a point to retire and screw when he found out his battalion was deploying to Iraq.
Now, it will be interesting to see the list of 'critters that step forward to join (as well as those that won't).
NAACP - KLAN WITH THE TAN - plays the race card and slanders the Tea Party with the canard of “RACISM” - I say it’s proper for the Tea Party to call the NAACP what it truely represents - TRAITORS!
We have decades of proof that the cbc is a communist outfit that is racist and evidence galore that they act in racist ways and are racist by the very nature of their name. Bring it on... America is not only tired but we are pissed and we are not going to take it any more... savvy?

Who is she going to ask to join? That’ll be the interesting part. If Boehner or Cantor are on the membership then it will be worthless.
