My reaction to the idea of the NAACP declaring the citizen movement known as the Tea Party as racist is ridiculous. I am Black. I have spoken at over twenty rallies and conferences. I have talked directly with hundreds of tea party activists, and have received hundreds of calls from activists to my nightly radio show.

Tea Party people are patriots, who want the federal government to stop thespending, stop the legislative abuse, stop the tax increases and start adhering to the Constitution.

It is unfortunate that a once relevant and impactful organization is looking for relevance in the wrong place, namely, race. It should be about unity instead of divisiveness.

I have been called a sell-out, an Uncle Tom and shameless because I disagree withthis President's policies. Those who are calling me those names have probably never been to a Tea Party event, and I doubt officials of the NAACP have attended an event either. Those that would like to join the name calling parade should save themselves some time. In my grandfather's vernacular, "I does not care!"

This President ran on a campaign of hope and change, but his change is not working .over 4 million Americans lost jobs in 2009, the unemployment rate has gone from7.6% in January 2009 to 9.5% in June 2010, the unemployment rate for Black Americans is over 15% and not getting better, and the national debt has increased exponentially to over $13 trillion since January 2009.

Tea Party people are not racist.they are Patriotic Americans who want the greatest country in the world to remain the greatest, by exercising their right to make their voices heard.

This isn't about race. This is about results, and the results by this administration are missing in action.

He spoke about this on his show last night. He did an excellent dressing down of the NAACP and NBPP. Several folks who called in backed up his statements because they are black conservatives who saw/heard no racism and felt welcome.

One caller was a 70 year old black man who had recently "quit drinking the kool-aid" and went to a tea party, and now has started thinking for himself. Things like this give me hope! It confirms to me what I have suspected for the past year - the conservative movement in the black community is growing.

I've listened to Mr. Cain many times when he filled in for another talk show host. I can't get his show in my area.

He is great, better than the guy he filled in for!

It should be obvious to even the Democrats by now That Obama was selected so that the Left could play the race card on EVERY issue.

Well, the race card is getting pretty tattered and thin.
it's so thin that it;s hardly visible now.

Someday, everyone will see that it is a ploy.
The only problem is, that if a real race issue ever comes up, no one will believe it.

Of course they (black folk) know there is no racism there. They also know that the charge of racism needs no proof to throw the accused into a tizzy to defend against the charge. And that is their game, to throw the opposition off their game.
Its all politics now, racism is an extinct beast that the left resurrects to scare whomever they can into submission, i.e. stir up white guilt. And white guilt, when frothed, makes people act in ridiculous ways to try to assuage the accuser. A powerful tool in today’s politics... poor white folk... maybe instead of defending themselves against the charge, they need only chant “boring... boring... boring...”

I think the NAACP leadership knows the truth, but I think there are folks in the community that still buy the lies.

One caller to Herman’s show last night was a former NAACP member now a tea party patriot. He said something along the lines that black people needed to wake up to the fact that the organization is just using and playing them for political gain.

For whatever reason folks around here continue to support Zach Wamp, even though there is absolutely nothing in his resume that remotely qualifies him to be Governor. I haven't seen much if any Ramsey signs or stickers around at all. Bill Haslam seems to be spending a lot of money in this area, but it's come out that he supported Al Gore and Jim Cooper in previous elections. Anyone that would support a moonbat like Gore, whatever the reason, gets immediate disqualification for holding public office in my book.....

Wamp is a definite NO.

The package is worth $286.5 billion over six years, a 30 percent increase over the $218 billion program that expired in 2003. Taxpayers for Common Sense found Rep. Young helped to secure $231 million for a bridge in Anchorage to be named Don Young’s Way; $223 million for a bridge to Ketchikan; and $15 million for a Juneau access road, dubbed the Black Ice Highway by group analyst Erich Zimmermann because “that’s all you’ll see in the winter if this project is built.” The group found 6,376 special projects in the 1,752-page bill. It is my fondest hope that black conservatives can be liberated from the cultural closet in which they have been forced to hide.

Cain and candidate Tim Scott, both came out with great messages...as did the unsinkable Sarah Palin.

Hubby has been chatting with colleagues over the past couple of months. One or two women have ‘confessed’ to grave reservations about the Obama agenda...but they have openly stated that while they can say so in front of my hubby, who is white, they do not dare to do so in their ‘community’.

Hopefully, over the top actions by the NBPP and NAALCP will encourage good people to finally cast aside the intellectual and cultural shackles with which they have been bound purely due to the color of their skin.

Herman Cain needs his own show after Limbaugh is on. I wish my local station could ditch Sean Hannity for Herman Cain. (I agree with Sean’s positions on issues, but I cannot stand to listen to him.)

Not defending Wamp or the "Bridge to Nowhere", but I've seen the location where the bridge was supposed to go and it doesn't go nowhere. The airport at Ketchikan is on the other side. There are quite a few people who live over on the island the bridge would serve and there is a major timber operation there. Ketchikan is landlocked. The only way in or out is by air or sea (or hiking if you are bold enough). I could see how this bridge would be very important to the locals. Alaska is still very much a frontier and I'd rather see my tax dollars spent on something like this as opposed to midnight basketball or giving loan guarantees to Brazil to develop their offshore oil reserves while our own reserves are blocked by moratorium.

In regard to Wamp, I have a personal, much more telling story about him that should give everyone pause. Wamp does not support private property rights. In fact, it became clear to me that he has no clue of their importance to it's citizenry as a free nation.

Some years ago our local county Commissioners thought it would be a good idea to grant the right of eminent domain to a private, for profit company in order to build a pump storage electricity generating facility similar to TVA Raccoon Mountain near Chattanooga. Needless to say, those of us who stood to lose our homes were outraged. Aside from losing the home I had just built with my own two hands the big problem was the company, Armstrong Energy Resources, had zero track record building such infrastructure. In fact, of the projects we found that they were responsible for none had been completed. The company had a track record of riding projects and never finishing them, particularly those with gubmint grants attached. This project was a $480 million boondoggle just waiting to happen. TVA had studied the sites proposed by Armstrong a few years earlier and had deemed them as not viable for a variety of reasons. TVA also saw them as not necessary to the overall TVA power distribution structure for the foreseeable future.

Wamp rode the fence right down to the wire, never once taking the side of his constituents (the land owners) until the outcome of our court case became obvious. He played up all the media attention like a New Orleans prostitute plays up potential clients. I met with Wamp personally, face to face on not less than six occasions and was never able to get a straight answer out of him, much less any support for private property ownership. It became clear that he had absolutely no understanding of the role of private property ownership as a fundamental right. I watched numerous times at public events where Wamp would appear as his handlers directed him to where cameras were located so that the best shots of him would be taken. I watched and listened as he played on people's faith and fears again and again. He was using our plight as a method of furthering his political ambitions. It was sickening.

Eventually, when it became obvious that our protracted court fight was going to win, Wamp soundly (and very publicly) came down on the side of the property owners (his constituents) once he realized that would be where the best PR could be found. I told Zach Wamp to his face that he was not qualified to sit in the US House of Representatives because of his ignorance of private property rights. I told him he would never, ever get my vote. He stood there with a blank stare for at least 30 seconds before one of his handlers whisked him away. This was the last time I saw him in my district. Shortly thereafter the districts were gerrymandered and he went from "representing" the 4th District, to "representing" the 3rd District. This is the Reader's Digest version of events, but I can tell you with absolute certainty from my personal experience that there is absolutely no way this man should be in public office at any level for any reason, period.
