Ominous reports are leaking past the BP Gulf salvage operation news blackout that the disaster unfolding in the Gulf of Mexico may be about to reach biblical proportions.
251 million years ago a mammoth undersea methane bubble caused massive explosions, poisoned the atmosphere and destroyed more than 96 percent of all life on Earth. [1] Experts agree that what is known as the Permian extinction event was the greatest mass extinction event in the history of the world. [2]
55 million years later another methane bubble ruptured causing more mass extinctions during the Late Paleocene Thermal Maximum (LPTM).
The LPTM lasted 100,000 years. [3]
Those subterranean seas of methane virtually reshaped the planet when they explosively blew from deep beneath the waters of what is today called the Gulf of Mexico.
Now, worried scientists are increasingly concerned the same series of catastrophic events that led to worldwide death back then may be happening again-and no known technology can stop it.

Yeah, while I think this is probably BS, I have a son in Houston, so I admit, in the back of my head, as a mother, I worry, just a bit.

Revelation 8:11 (New International Version) 11:the name of the star is Wormwood.[a] A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.
Just sayin...

You guys hit it right on the money.
If this report is true BP and world oil drilling is saving life on earth from world extinction.
winoneforthegipper and Quix: This is just a "what if this was true" scenario. kinda interesting.

I heard an oil drilling “expert” say that above the oil that BP hit was a depleted natural gas field. Kinda unlikely for the planet killer theory any way. The BP oil could be leaking in the old gas field.

Considering 3 weeks of food at best . . . I’d say quite a bit less than 90 days.

I’m utterly convinced this is not the ‘mountain’ that crashes into the sea.
It does, however point in such directions.

Curious.
Will run it by my 87 year old Dad. I’m fairly sure he will pooh pooh it.
Nevertheless, it is a dramatic era . . . with many strange things having already occurred and stranger all lined up in the que.

I do agree there is a large methane bubble that pops ever 10s of million years but it is FAR below oil depths. It is mixed in the mantel of the earth. That is my theory on what created Iceland or that Iceland channel that I talked about before that is now south of Iceland.

A doofus on the set latched onto her and got her to run off to Las Vegas and marry him. Her parents immediately had it annulled. She only had a one line in the movie and that was playing a guitar and singing part of a song. She went on to become a superstar and he disappeared. The movie was DAZED AND CONFUSED.
She was a very sweet person. I wish I could have gotten to know her better. Especially after she turned 18. Just kidding. Not really. Yes I am. I’m dazed and confused.
