And after all his incendiary talke he bases the lawsuit on Federal premption. No counts claiming discrimination or profiling. They went with a very weak claim because it is all they had. I bet Obama loses this one at all three levels.

AZ is not setting immigration policy. They are questioning and arresting people who have broken US laws. Should they stand back and wait for the feds to show up and deal with bank robbers, kidnappers or others who have violated federal laws?

The Governor of Arizona should sue the President for not full filling his prime directive.......protecting the United States from invasion. She has stated, and rightly so, the Federal Government is not protecting our countries borders so the State has to do it. The same thing would happen if the police of Tucson did not protect its citizens. The State would have to step in.

The government's argument is specious on its face. Drop the word immigration from it and insert the word 'terrorist' or 'terrorism' and see what they say. In effect they would be saying that only the Federal government has the right to stop a terrorist from doing exceptionally grave damage to this country.

In practice, this attitude puts the concept of 'citizens arrest', 'actions for the public good', 'good Samaritan response in the face of emergency' and many other similar actions to the status of 'illegal' because the frickin' Federal Government didn't (or wouldn't) do it.

Take this whole debacle down and go back to square one is my call.

Arizona county sheriffs are receiving death threats from Mexican drug cartels and our foolish Administration sues and, in effect, offers protection to the individuals threatening death to American citizens. Just incredible.
