This is a truly remarkable video found at Powerline of NASA administrator Charles Bolden telling al-Jazeera that NASA is now tasked "to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with predominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science, math, and engineering."
The agency that sent a man to the moon has been enlisted to improve the self-esteem of Muslims.

Offer the low self esteemed muslims economy class seats on a Saturn V. The sheer experience alone would raise their esteem levels to new highs.
I can’t figure out what Barry and his Administration are talking about with this one. Sounds like Barry envisions modeling this new program after the Cub Scouts so that it is some sort of space camp for Muslims. Perhaps I’m wrong and Barry is leaning more towards a Disneyland-style theme park in Afghanistan with converted Buzz Aldrin automatons reciting from the Koran prior to the zero-gravity ride.
Funny, I thought NASA was about air and space exploration, not international relations with a group that seems bent on destroying the very Country NASA purports to work for. But then, I'm one of those old-school guys that thinks the Military is about fighting and killing (and their ROE ought to reflect that), not about Nation building, not a social jobs program.
First, as any Orthodox Christian who has read the Fathers will tell you, self-esteem is a vice.
Second, the vice is baleful enough among Christians, promoting it among those who lack the light of the Gospel, especially in a shame-culture, seems a particularly stupid form of wickedness.

It sure seems that our Pseudo-President wants to stamp all the department with his “philosophy”!!
There is nothing like a challenging mission to the Moon or Mars to inspire a new generation of engineers and scientist but Obama doesn’t see it that way. He would rather make senseless gestures that mean nothing.

I didn’t realize “making muslim countries feel good” was part of NASA’s charter. We’re not going back to the moon, and a trip to Mars is out, so this is what we’re lowered to doing. How the mighty have fallen.
Why is it the American taxpayer’s job to raise people’s self esteem? As I see it they all know their self worth better than we do.
