JERUSALEMIran has sent Syria a sophisticated radar system that could threaten Israel's ability to launch a surprise attack against Iran's nuclear facilities, say Israeli and U.S. officials, extending an alliance aimed at undermining Israel's military dominance in the region.
The radar could bolster Syria's defenses by providing early warning of Israeli air-force sorties. It could also benefit Hezbollah, the Iran-backed militant group based in Lebanon and widely believed to receive arms from Syria.

Does this mean the regime has figured out that the olive branch didn't work? Both sides of their strategy have failed. Iran has not backed down, nor have the Chinese and Russians come on board for strict sanctions. Check and mate to the wizards of smart in the White House.

This might be a non-event.

Doesn’t sound like a non-event.
It’s an event in that it penetrates deeply into Israeli airspace and serves as an early warning system.
But there is so much traffic in Israel, not sure how helpful it would be.
