The House just passed the DISCLOSE Act, by a vote of 219-206. As with so much in this Congress, the only thing bipartisan about the bill was the opposition to it.

EVERYONE, please go to www.marklevinshow.com and then to the audio and listen to a replay of Mark's show of 6-24-10...this needs to go viral. The DISCLOSE ACT is an act of tyranny, and you will hear Mark Levin explain all, AND he will interview Christine O'Donnell, a Reagan conservative who is running against Mike Castle, the RINO, who was one of the sponsors of this bill. She is articulate, conservative, she is tough and straightforward, and she needs our help to win the Senate seat...Castle is a traitor to his country and does not believe in the Constitution. Please give this program a listen...so very important.
A very important point.
They had the audacity to name it the Dodd-Frank Bill.

History teaches that humans will take all of it for fear of harm coming to their wives or children or income or possessions or privileges... and keep taking it all the way through the gates of the gulag.
Revolutions aren't carried out by 50-year-old conservatives with a lot to lose, however well armed or educated - it's easy to separate them from the herd and pick them off one by one. Revolutions are carried out by young malcontents with nothing to lose. Notice how careful the Obamoids are to keep that demographic on board.
actually TWO GOP voted for it and one co sponsored....some pendejo from Delaware.
that title is misleading...odd for NRO
He issued a statement yesterday commanding asking the Senate to pass it immediately. The chances of him vetoing it are precisely ZERO (which is actually fitting).
Statement by the President on Passage of the DISCLOSE Act in the House of RepresentativesI congratulate the House of Representatives on today's passage of the DISCLOSE Act, a critical piece of legislation to control the flood of special interest money into our elections. The DISCLOSE Act would establish the strongest-ever disclosure requirements for election-related spending by special interests, including Wall Street and big oil companies, and it would restrict spending by foreign-controlled corporations. It would give the American public the right to see exactly who is spending money in an attempt to influence campaigns for public office. The House bill is not perfect I would have preferred that it include no exemptions. But it mandates unprecedented transparency in campaign spending, and it ensures that corporations who spend money on American elections are accountable first and foremost to the American people. I urge the Senate to act swiftly on its version of the bill, and I look forward to working with both chambers on prompt enactment of final legislation.
Makes you want to gag.
