A top aide to former Gov. Rod Blagojevich said he believed Barack Obama knew of Blagojevich's plot to win himself a presidential Cabinet post in exchange for appointing Valerie Jarrett to the U.S. Senate.
John Harris, Blagojevich's former chief of staff, testified Wednesday in the former governor's corruption trial that three days after the Nov. 4, 2008, presidential election, the ex-governor told Harris he felt confident Obama knew he wanted to swap perks.

Bumping the Bombshell....
Pretty lame. So Obama says he didn’t know.
So what then?
This goes throughout the WH and goes a hundred directions. I have the entire thing layed out in my book:

Pray for America
The other question was how much of the money did he expect Blago to kick back to him.
There was no controlling legal authority.
Pretty lame. So Obama says he didnt know.
So what then?
I learned under the Clintons not to get too excited about these trivial matters./s
This would be like the fourth bribe he claims to know nothing about. Harris is testifying under oath. Maybe it’s time to put Barry under oath too.
The key - legally - is the phrase: “he believed”. Later in the article that belief is stated as he “felt confident” Obama knew.
If that is all this witness has, and there is no other witness or factual knowledge from anyone to corroborate his “belief”, it does not, and will not constitute a “bombshell” because neither his belief or his understanding, alone or together, constitute EVIDENCE, to support his “belief”.
Personally, I suspect his "belief" is probably right. Unfortunately, it will not sustain proof that Obama knew.
We need a modern-day team of Woodward and Bernstein to keep plugging away at this story.
” the ex-governor told Harris he felt confident Obama knew he wanted to swap perks.”
He “ felt” Obama “knew” ??
LOL!
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
ClearCase_guy, that was inspired work. Thank you.
Excerpts from the transcript:
Fitzgerald: "In the governor's words -- governor's words, quote, 'Fire all those bleeping people. Get them the bleep out of there. And get us some editorial support', close quote. And the bleeps are not really bleeps."
(snip)
Fitzgerald: "A month or so ago a $1.8 billion tollway project was announced. While that tollway project was being announced, Governor Blagojevich was privately seeking to have a person benefiting from that contract raise $100,000 in contributions, and privately the government (sic) said, 'I could have made a larger announcement but wanted to see how they would perform by the end of the year. If they don't perform, bleep 'em.' That's a quote. And the word 'bleep' was not the word he used."
(snip)
Fitzgerald: "The governor's own words describing the Senate seat, quote, 'It's a bleeping valuable thing -- thing. You just don't give it away for nothing', close quote."
Fitzgerald: "Another quote, 'I've got this thing, and it's bleeping golden. And I'm just not giving it up for bleeping nothing. I'm not going to do it, and I can always use it; I can parachute me there,' quote. Those are his words, not our characterization, other than with regard to the bleep."
Fitzgerald: "The tapes reveal that Governor Blagojevich wanted a number of things in exchange for making the appointment to the Senate seat -- an appointment as secretary of health and human services or an ambassadorship, an appointment to a private foundation, a higher paying job for his wife or campaign contributions."

Blago's wife...
"Mrs. Blago, the former Patti Mell, won the hearts of old-school thugs everywhere with her f-word-filled rants captured on FBI wiretaps, some of which were colorfully detailed in the criminal complaint against her hubby..." --Michelle Malkin, December 17, 2008

I read this as a big lead on Drudge. I doesn’t mean anything! There is nothing to the story. Don’t get me wrong. I am sure that the Great One was neck deep in the corruption. But just because someone says he is sure he was means absolutely nothing. He has to have PROOF! Wanting it to be true won’t make it true. Watch it for the next few weeks. If it has legs and the Presidential cover starts to unravel it might really be something, but until then it is nothing.
Actually, they LIKE a corrupt democRat as long as he’s stickin’ it to the conservatives & Christians.
Yet ANOTHER Obama cover-up ...
It’s going to depend on how much info Blago’s lawyers get regarding Barry’s FBI interviews.
Wasn’t Blago famous for taping conversations?
Something tells me Blago’s got a bigger bombshell/insurance policy taped and tucked away.
If so, Barry’s own words to the Fibbies may finish him off.
One can hope, anyway.
Obama is safe until Soros says otherwise.
