Screamingly funny satire, skewering the self-identified “intellectual” conservatives...

Thanks — iowahawk is one of the best conservative satirists, if not the best, and he’s been around FR since Hector was a pup.

The term blog pimp is usually reserved for a frustrated internet author who signs up just to post his articles and generate hits on his site. I don't even think most FReepers mind someone posting from their blog if they participate in discussions on their thread and others. This brilliant piece of satire is the latest in a long series of conservative classics and is not posted by the author. It is well worth it to read the Iowahawk archives.

Coddington is perfect. An amalgam of cod and clod with a suffix. Perfect.

This is satire... That may be the (perhaps unintentionally) funniest response on the thread.

Id love to be a fly on the wall when Christopher Buckley reads this! Hahahaha! Undoubtedly he's smart enough to know when he's being slammed.

I think Iowahawk might be too good. He apparently isn't obvious enough. Look at the comments on this thread -- some percentage don't know it's satire or are just too intent on getting in some quips based only on the headline, and there are even dimwits thinking this is "blog pimping" ... sad. This article skewers the phony conservatism of the insider elites better than anything I have seen recently, and too many people even here don't get it... The only higher setting on the "obvious" dial is "Three Stooges."
No, the problem is the posters themselves. They should be back on the porch.

No kidding!
It was particularly gratifying to see the Admin Mod completely dismiss the dimwit calling this thread "blog pimping".

"The third risk we now face is the most exasperating: the coming catcalls from the moronic Tea Party simians who will undoubtedly (and illiterately) gloat about our late-hour conversion from orthodox Obamaphilia. With this column I imagine my email inbox will soon be chockablock with lovely missives like, "hey, moran!..."
Freaking hysterical.
I read the whole thing with appropriate accent. Brilliant!
