Reading that makes my head hurt.

Excellent, as usual. Peggy Nooner could have done no better.

That’s why algore invented links - you click on them and you are magically transported there.

Chris Buckley doesn’t surf on this side of the internet.

For that matter, he probably pays somebody to surf for him.

112 in the full sun, where the weather-beeber’s thermometer is. My husband says it’s only in the upper 90s on the thermometer in his truck. Ugh.

That’s called “Blog Pimping” and it is frowned upon here.

And darn good satire. He really slams Chris Buckley and takes a few other prisoners too.

You might have a point there, but Iowahawk was here for a long time. He may not post personally any more but his satire has been read and enjoyed by many of us.

Iowahawk should have the national stature of Ann Coulter, Mark Steyn, or P.J. O'Rourke. He is absolutely incredible.

I think Iowahawk might be too good. He apparently isn't obvious enough. Look at the comments on this thread -- some percentage don't know it's satire or are just too intent on getting in some quips based only on the headline, and there are even dimwits thinking this is "blog pimping" ... sad. This article skewers the phony conservatism of the insider elites better than anything I have seen recently, and too many people even here don't get it.

"The third risk we now face is the most exasperating: the coming catcalls from the moronic Tea Party simians who will undoubtedly (and illiterately) gloat about our late-hour conversion from orthodox Obamaphilia. With this column I imagine my email inbox will soon be chockablock with lovely missives like, "hey, moran! I couldsa tolt y'all that dangity Obama was a commernist 2 hole yeers agoo!! Ima gessin I must be a hole lott smarter then yew with yore big smarty pants kollige words!! Hyuk hyuk hyuk!! Tea Party git r dun!!"

Yes, it's satire. But if you don't think that the above is how the Rockefeller-Romney RINOs and the Left see the Tea Party Movement, you haven't been paying attention.

It might be, if Iowahawk wasn't one of the two or three funniest writers going.

He deserves more than a few clicks to his site.
