Just felt our whole office building shake here in Northern Ohio. Lasted about 10 seconds. Anyone else feel anything??
Only because I don’t think it would trigger a new New Madrid ‘quake.
Still, I suppose it wouldn’t be too much for him to hope.
(Especially with the god of the underworld on his side)...
My boss is from Medford. He says y’all don’t have the weather we do here. For example, this time of year, we get a thunderstorm most afternoons at about 4:00. Our average storm is what you might think is devastating. The occasional hurricane is interesting too.
I guess it’s what you get used to.
Nothing showing on the Helicorders yet...
He's an old sea captain and a meteorologist so he loves this stuff.
I didn’t feel anything here in Williamsport.
I’m rather disappointed.
It was so weird..seemed to last a long time. Does this mean we will get aftershocks?
CROSSPOSTING:
SO just called me (Im in LA) from St. Catharines, ON and said she was cleaning her pc desk and 28 inch monitor was swaying back and forth with entire aprtment complex shaking. Interesting.
No, it was about 1:50. Where in NJ are you? As I said, we're in the Meadowlands (Secaucus - about 2 miles from Giants Stadium), so we're basically sitting on swamp land. That might be why we felt it so strongly.
We felt it in Rochester, NY. My desk shook! I heard it was a 5.5 in Quebec.

You’re in DC? Wasn’t this about the same time Obama was going on TV with his big announcement?
Thanks! You too!
Let’s hope it wasn’t a foreshock.
Wild...in the UP, have you ever felt one there before?
Dr. Eckleberg is a her?
Who knew?
I was outside gardening but didn’t feel anything here in CNY.
I hate missing stuff like that.....
Are you in FL.
I remember I could set my watch by the thunderstorms at 4pm almost everyday in June / July. I was down for a show in Orlando. It was unreal how fierce the rain/thunder was. I’m in NY.
I will say this much, it makes planning for emergencies a LOT easier! :)
