Breaking news? Soccer? Who cares.
No thanks to Dempsey.
Darn. That means our effeminate athletes are catching up to the rest of the world’s effeminate athletes.
Until the Taliban or Al Queada fields a team, I’m not interested. Soccer bores me and the Olympics were a lot more exciting during the Cold War. But to each his own. I’m happy for my fellow Americans.
What bothers me is the rest of the world that constantly pound on America in their sports columns about how America should care about soccer. Memo to the rest of the world, we could win this world cup and I don’t think soccer would rise that much in popularity in America. It’s just not going to happen.
1 null !
GGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!
What made me even prouder, was how were represented in the stands. Heck, we don’t even get that kind of support when we play our games here sometimes, especially against the Mexicans.
This is a defining moment for soccer here in the US, even people who never watched a game before, you can bet will be watching the next game.
Come on board the bandwagon folks, there’s plenty of room!!
Who do they play next?
USA Bump!!!
The only downer was the camera zooming in on Bubba in the stands.
Algeria 0, referee 1, USA 2.
We’re getting to the quarterfinals, at least.
