McChrystal got a look behind the curtain, saw all the red, and said “No way, Barry!”
Barry said “Go away then, but go away this way. I can’t have Generals speaking out about what they have seen.”
(ducking...)
When will a black lesbian take his place?
I wouldn’t work for Barry neither. ;o)
Anybody remember Patton?

He has spoken out in the past, and Obama has had a talk with him. He gave that speech in London, and then met with Obama on plane in Copenhagen.
Well, that is the correct thing to do.
In the military, you don’t violate the chain of command like that.
From the Rolling Stone’ article, McChrystal entered West Point in ‘72, and then became a regimental commander in ‘86. Reads pretty fast-tracked to me.
Obama = Carter’s economic misery and LBJ’s failed war effort.
What a combo.
Post resignation, McCrystal could be a real thorn in Barry’s side.
I can see a Weekly WH Wimp Report in his future.
So, he’s Tending his resignation to the Tenderfoot...
Everyone should read the RS article very carefully — then tell me what McCrystal said that was objectionable. You won’t find anything. All these “poor judgement” comments come from those surrounding him.
What if the replacement commander resigns?
wondering who is Mccrystal’s political officer
I still cannot get my arms around this situation. I don’t know the General. I don’t know what is going on in Afghanistan right now, other than accounts I can read.
I am perfectly willing to entertain the concept that the General is playing an elaborate game of chess against someone used to playing checkers, and who is willing to sacrifice his career to prevent a debacle in Afghanistan.
I am even willing to consider that he never voted for Obama as he said he did, and that there is some byzantine reason for his saying so.
But if not, even if McChrystal never said anything himself, if he allowed his subordinates to display open insubordination in the presence of a weasel from Rolling Stone without having some kind of motive, this is simply poor leadership and bad judgement on its face.
Given his record, I simply am having a difficult time reconciling his actions.
I don’t play chess anymore, so I could be missing something on his part, and I will willingly concede that is possible.
How about Obama's mentor, adviser and close friend Bill Ayers?
He has experience organizing attacks on military targets.
General McChrystal either is more tone deaf than Obama and has no sense of judgement or he wanted out. However, if he wanted out, there were better ways to do it than like this. Hope all those on his staff enjoy retirement also. What’s the chances of Foxnews picking him up as a military analyst to get interviewed by O’Reilly, Beck and Hannity? I’d make sure I’m watching....
When they got 20yrs. or more they can give 0’b the middle finger salute and say ADIOS MUTHER!!!
