EXCERPT
No one noticed, though, until today, when Andrew Breitbart's Big Government posted the video -- an edited version posted at another YouTube account -- with a commentary from editor Mike Flynn.
So who are the students? I don't know. The National Republican Congressional Committee tells me they didn't send them, and "DCCameraGuy" has yet to respond to my e-mail. But without any name or organizational support, just by riling up a member of Congress, the students have created the first conservative meme of the week. They seem to have learned from organizations such as ThinkProgress that any video of a member acting strangely, no matter how grainy, is grist for the Web.

Hey! This is MY congressman...
Liberals/Socialists ALWAYS attack the messenger and avoid addressing the message. Pure Alinsky tactics.
Wish he had tried to grab you!
;)
No matter how grainy? It’s a perfectly clear video
‘Student’ needs to file an assault charge.
STAT!
Can we all say ASSAULT AND BATTERY......I knew we could.
Meanwhile, Republicans are weighing in. National Republican Congressional Committee spokesman Jon Thompson e-mailed a comment to ABC11:
Bob Etheridge has lost it. His conduct is unbecoming of a member of Congress. It’s bad enough that he’s joined Obama’s assault on North Carolina jobs, but his physical assault on a college student goes beyond the pale.
I take a vodka drink;I take a whiskey drink;p****** the day
away!
the scum commies will find out “who sent ya” in court!!!
He did sound drunk. “Who you are” about 10 times.
I feel so much better — the Congressman (D) didn’t assault the student, it was just a “hug”!
The funny thing is that in the State of North Carolina, Etheridge could be charged for CRIMINAL ASSAULT and be liable for a civil lawsuit as well. What a doofus.
someone said he always sounds like that
A simple “no comment” would have sufficed.....this guy went way overboard!
Who would file the charges?
Amazing the WaPo wants to identify an assault victim, and ignore the CRIME!
To David
It doesn’t really matter if it was a planted question. The behavior is unacceptable.
If he had, I would have him arrested on the spot. Oh, how I wish that had been me!!!
WaPo covers for Etheridge and tries to identify assault VICTIM .... PING!
