If you approach a congressman in Washington D.C. and try to ask them what seems to be a pretty simple question and he goes nuts, grabbing at you and demanding to know who you are
dont answer him. Why not answer? This guy is showing aggressive behavior and has enough power -- since we gave it to them -- to make your life miserable for years to come. I dont blame the guy for not answering. Without further comment, I give you Rep. Bob Who are You Etheridge (D-N.C.).

Anyone can be arrested for assault and battery, but the powers that be have a bad habit of not arresting a high profile perp just because he committed a crime.
Either the parents [if the kid is under 18] or [if he is of legal age] the kid himself MUST PRESS CHARGES....or it goes nowhere.
Etheridge was walking on a public street. He wasn't confronted on his front porch or front lawn. And the kid didn't ask him about his sex life, he simply asked him if he supported Obama's policies. Do you think he'd have reacted this way if it was a well-known reporter who had approached him?

It’s been on drudge for at least 1/2 hour complete with picture of thug grabbing young man and count still at 328.
I suggest a freepathon of calls asking the congressmen’s office(s) when we can expect his resignation,
I know; I'm just raising the question where the line should be drawn. Should a congressman have to respond to anyone who approaches him or her at any time? Should it be limited to business hours or when the congressman is on official business? Should he or she just have to respond to reporters or people from their district? I don't know the answer, but it seems to me that even our elected representatives should be able to have some expectation of privacy. Again, I am not defending this guy's behavior.
LOL, oh BULLSH*T!!
What “right to privacy” does an elected official have on a public street?
You seem to be making a sort of an excuse for the assaulter. If he had a problem with the question or simply did not want to speak to anyone, all he had to do was say, excuse me but I am in a hurry and cannot answer any questions at this time” or words to that effect.
The kid did not block his way or come close to the Congressman at any time. He merely asked him a question to which any answer would have made him look bad.
the congressman would have gotten a five second warning the let go of my arm and then once he grabbed the back of my neck he would have gotten a right upper-cut.
That's the question I raised. Apparently, your view is that it is okay to confront an elected official at any time on a public street. If you had read my posts you would have seen that I am not defending his behavior.
He wasn't drunk at nine in the morning. He's an evil fascist storm-trooping Obama-worshiping paranoid arrogant freakish Demonrat....do I make myself clear?
(....I tried to....oh, my)

THANKS for your answer.:)=^..^=
Re. #13: “The day some politician puts his hands on me demanding to know who I am, is the day his daily intake of asphalt goes up 100%,...”
And the next day is when you start serving your 110 year sentence at Club Fed Supermax for assaulting a Federal Official... if secret service doesn’t just summarily saw you in half with a G-3.
Don’t hold your breath waiting for this politicrap to face charges or even come up for a hearing in the Ethics Committee.
They can do unto us what we may NOT do unto them.
Law, in case you haven’t noticed, only applies to us little people.
I’m wondering how much of this abuse people will take before taking things into “their own hands”.
Come to think of it, that may be exactly what the Obama Syndicate wants; an excuse to impose martial law and start filling up the FEMA death camps and mass grave pits.
Still think those are a “conspiracy theory”, do ya?
Yeah; that grab-hug thing was a little weird.
The kid is probably lucky he didn’t get buggered right then and there. Good thing for him he didn’t encounter Sen. Bawney! **{8^Q
Bullcrap. This is assault. Now it's going viral on the internet...and damage control will be kicking in. The kid should have filed charges immediately after the incident.
If a 'right to privacy' is expected in public places, then the government, stores, banks, and the police all need to stop using cameras to spy in the public.
This kid, like all of us, shares the same first amendment rights as the annointed left-wing press. We are all the press. They have the right to film and to question people in public places. Ethridge would have done well to just state "no comment" and keep walking. He had NO right to touch the kid, nor did he have a right to steal the kid's phone. He should be in jail.
Another lib with an angry, bitter, look on his face. What’s WRONG with these people anyway???
Okay Mommy.
Exactly.
Probably because he was afraid of a random camera moment showing him looking like a fool. Ironic isn’t it?
