Here is shocking video of North Carolina Democrat Rep. Bob Etheridge being asked by some students on a public sidewalk in Washington, D.C. if he supports the “Obama Agenda.” Once he realized the students were asking him that question, he went bonkers. Etheridge hit their camera and then grabbed one of the students by the arm as he repeated over and over “Who are you, Who are you? Tell me who you are?” The students identified themselves as such, but Etheridge persisted. At one point he then grabbed the student whose arm he had been holding onto and pulled himself up beside himself with his arm wrapped around the student. The student repeatedly asked the Congressman to “let go of my arm.”
There is no scenario under which this kind of behavior is acceptable. Etheridge represents the 2nd District in North Carolina, and faces a tough re-election battle. This video ought to seal his defeat. It’s time for voters to say to Etheridge, “Who are you” to treat people like this?

Yes, the CD was gerrymandered in 2001 to protect Etheridge, but it still gave President Bush 54% in 2004. With lower turnout in Raleigh’s black precincts and Etheridge’s liberal votes on prominent issues, and (of course) the toxic environment faced by Democrats nationwide, we can beat Etheridge even with a second-tier (yet attractive) candidate in Renée Ellmers. Ellmers doesn’t have to out-raise Etheridge, but she can’t let Etheridge out-raise her by 10:1 as was the case on March 31.
This reminds me of a similar response, a politician was being asked a question or two by someone with a “press pass”. The pol went nuts trying to find out WHO ARE YOU WITH?
Seems that this guy knows there is a group he can be frank with, and groups he must be careful with!

Another democrat who only likes gotcha journalism when the camera is pointed at someone else. I am a long time member of this site and am a regular reader, sometime poster. I follow politics closely and have never heard of this congressman before today. He may have been a congressman but he was a nobody. Not after today though. After today you can bet he’ll be infamous.
