PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) What was Elton John doing at Rush Limbaugh's wedding?
John performed at the reception when Limbaugh married Kathryn Rogers in Palm Beach, Florida, on Saturday, according to the Palm Beach Post.
John has not made a statement on why he chose to perform for Limbaugh, in spite of the outcry from the gay community.
Some reports say John earned a million dollars for the gig.

You do what you want with your money and I’ll spend mine as I see fit.
plus, its a little gross that hes marrying such a younger woman. Hes going to get divorced again. I give it two years. TOPS.

That’s none of your business!
Yes I do.
And guess what? I don't buy their damn 'art' either.
Uh, no. When I hire, say, an HVAC guy to come clean the ductwork in my house, I'm simply exchanging money for a service rendered. It's not a celebration of the HVAC tech's sexual preferences.
People can do as they like, if you like his music, buy it, but dont for one minute believe that the dollars you spend on his music isnt supporting his life style.
Rush Limbaugh was a damned fool for hiring the guy, but that was his choice. He wanted a great Honeymoon night and he probably got it.He paid for it high enough.
I plan to!
and Ill spend mine as I see fit.
I don't care how you, or Rush, or anybody else spends the money they labored for. I just observed that by hiring gays and libtards you are enalbing their lifestyle and their agenda.
How much money would you pay Oblowme to give a private speech?
Good for both Sir Elton and El Rusbo for putting aside differences. Isn’t that what free enterprise is all about?
“wholeheartedly agree that Limbaugh shouldnt be supporting sodomy.”
Then you should have trailed him on his honeymoon to make sure only certain sex acts are taking place. /s
Sodomy is not just guy/guy sex you know.
In 72 I got sent to take somebody to the airport. Mustang. Eight-track. And one eight-track cassette for two hours: Don't Shoot Me I'm Only the Piano Player.
Crocodile Rock. Rush had Clarence Thomas at his wedding.
The Keeper of the Flame by Henry Mark Holzer whose council I still seek:
Too many members of the public have uncritically accepted the professional character assassination visited upon Justice Thomas by the liberal professional and academic legal community. I cannot count the times that peole who should have known better have, simply upon hearing Clarence Thomas's name, immediately responded with derogatory comments about his abilities as a justice--even though they have never read a single opinion of the hundreds Thomas has written.
Elton John. Clarence Thomas. Two men with men's first names as last names. Dear Editor. . . .
That’s an especially good picture of them. I thought it was the most recent but it is from 2008. So - he HAS gained weight back since then!
As expected, FRs sodomy advocates showcase illogic yet again. What are you people doing here, anyway?
Consolidated reply:
skeeter: For a million bucks Id perform at Elton Johns wedding.
Really? So, were just haggling over price, then.
aruanan: Geez, try thought. The first one hurts, but it’ll get better as you go along.
Truly, you have a dizzying intellect. No arguments, to make, but as long as youre on the side of self-righteous sanctimony, who cares?
Hildy: Hes NOT endorsing sodomy..Hes endorsing the music he likes.
Road apples. Thats preposterous on the face of it.
What was the reaction to Jerry Lee Lewis marrying his 13-year-old cousin? To the Dixie Chicks bad-mouthing America? To the Rolling Stones getting arrested for drug possession?
People demonstrate their disapproval of celebrity misconduct by not buying their stuff. When you hire a singer, you are signing on to everything that singer is, thinks and does. Thus it always was, and thus it will always be.
xjcsa: I seriously doubt Elton John engaged in any sodomy while performing.
Whew! That was a near thing. You almost got the point.
(Not really, but I hate for the logic-challenged to feel theres no hope.)
SnakeDoctor: Liking his music is not an endorsement of his life.
Paying to listen to it most certainly is. Not sure about listening to a pirated copy in private, but there just seems to be something corrupt about that, too.
Supremedoctrine: Its no more an endorsement of sodomy than Eltons performance is an endorsement of Rush.
And no less. Old throat-warts will take a lot more flak from the left for accepting employment from Limbaugh than Republicans will give Limbaugh for hiring it. Thats why the Democrats are the evil party, and the Republicans are the stupid party.
This whole thing oddly speaks both well AND ill for both of them.
Public approval of a notorious boy-bonker and bone-smoker speaks well of Limbaugh in no way. Looks like the sodomite activists have either flim-flammed or frightened Limbaugh into refraining from telling the truth about them.
Elton will announce hell give his fee to the Lesbian and Gay Transgender Alliance, or some such.
Likely, and another reason that hiring him was a morally corrupt thing to do.
“Again, start using your brain for more than a weight to hold your head on your neck.”
One must wonder how mediocre an intellect must be to imagine that mud-slinging constitutes reasoned discourse.
Okay, there is no way you could have known that. Who gave you the answer? Must have been that Jim Thompson.
Your kids and/or grandkids will never get to see Lion King? Sucks to be them.
“It’s not a celebration of the HVAC tech’s sexual preferences.”
If the HVAC guy was a public figure who made a point of flaunting his sexual practices, it would be.

I wonder how many posting on this thread have turned off a Johnny Mathis Christmas song on the radio.....
- or “My Funny Valentine” -
Do they approve of Jesus sitting and dining and talking with alleged prostitutes?
Just wondering.....
But I mustn't say more.
I thought of that too, as I read through the thread, but it sometimes works both ways.
We’re always quick to jump on someone when they give some liberal rant and we say, ‘I’ll never watch him again’, etc.
On the other hand, we often ease up when it’s someone we like doing something we don’t like......don’t ya think?
Plenty of fights here about some of Sarah’s endorsements and things like that. Sometimes we are all too quick to judge. Just my own opinion.
