PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) What was Elton John doing at Rush Limbaugh's wedding?
John performed at the reception when Limbaugh married Kathryn Rogers in Palm Beach, Florida, on Saturday, according to the Palm Beach Post.
John has not made a statement on why he chose to perform for Limbaugh, in spite of the outcry from the gay community.
Some reports say John earned a million dollars for the gig.

So............when Rush hears an Elton John song, it gets him in the mood for romance?
Quite odd.....

Rush just wanted a rockstar that wouldn’t hit on his new wife.

What was Elton John doing at Rush Limbaugh's wedding? I hate these college level quiz questions but I'll take a stab at it anyway. Singing?

I guess “Sir Paul” had the gig - before he spouted off at the White House. ;)

Disappointing that Limbaugh would endorse sodomy in this way.

It’s no more an endorsement of sodomy than
Elton’s performance is an endorsement of Rush.
I wonder if he’d have performed for, say, half a mill though.
This whole thing oddly speaks both well AND ill for both
of them.
Elton will announce he’ll give his fee to the Lesbian and Gay Transgender Alliance,or somesuch. I just know it.

Odds are that Elton was not engaging in that particular practice on stage. Liking his music is not an endorsement of his life.

Disappointing that Limbaugh would endorse sodomy in this way.I seriously doubt Elton John engaged in any sodomy while performing.

Liking his music is not an endorsement of his life. But buying it and enabling his lifestyle is.

But buying it and enabling his lifestyle is. No it's not! If I buy an Elton John album it in no way enables his lifestyle. That's ridiculous.

One, it’s a free country. Limbaugh can spend his money however he wants. This is different from the government funding for gay and lesbians organisations.
Two, business is business. Limbaugh might actually *gasp* like him for his music.
Three, I wholeheartedly agree that Limbaugh shouldn’t be supporting sodomy. If you don’t like his decisions on how he spends his money, don’t watch Rush. I would like to hear his reasoning as to why he asked for Elton John.
