One online poster, somewhere, at another board about NH, offerred the hypothesis that the FBI would have intentionally parcelled out a "tiny" pre-payment as part of a scheme to lure Joran to the USA for his final LUMP SUM payout -- because they wanted to arrest him on AMERICAN SOIL and have him subjected to the AMERICAN LEGAL SYSTEM where he'd surely receive the full 50 years for extortion.

It was just a theory, but a very interesting one...

I was just shocked to hear it, particularly because all the Aruban spokespeople were obviously so upset about Nasty Grace & Gretched alledgedly destroying their tourism industry --- but in fact, the OPPOSITE happenned!!

Maybe the new developments will wake a few people up. If Americans can hear about what Joran did to that poor Peruvian woman and still shovel tourist dollars to the people who shielded and protected him and unleashed his murderous psychosis on the world, there really is no hope.

I was just thinking...if Peru somehow lets him go, would not the FBI be able to arrest him and take him to the states for trial on fraud, extortion and maybe other charges?

Much as I would prefer to have Joran spend the rest of his days in some hellhole prison in South America instead of in luxury at one of our fine correctional institutions, any punishment would be ok by me.

I have wondered the same thing.

Also, whatever happened to the guy who gave the fake alibi to Joran. Nobody does this for a stranger. He must have been involved in the disposal of the body or paid to do it.

Wondering the same thing about international law/treaties/extradition. He is a Dutch National - they have no death penalty and would probably refuse to extradite him to the US (from Aruba or any other Dutch consulate in Peru/Chile) on the possibility that evidence might implicate him in a provable, aggravated murder charge.

I read, maybe at WS, that someone in Miami had interviewed Anita and all she said was that she hadn't seen him in months, that he had nothing to do with the family.

Of course, I totally believe that woman... NOT.

I seem to remember that his parents got him a child psychologist, hadn't he been acting out as a teen??? Something about a broken glass door maybe? I seem to recall that he enjoyed bullying his younger brothers????

Unfortunately, it's been so long, that I don't remember WHAT he did, but either the school and/or his parents OR both made him see a child psychologist.

Maybe that rings a bell with someone?

AND there is a recent quote by Ted Miller of EquusSearch that DOMPIG emphatically told him to stop searching the dump, it was a lost cause, that Joran was a psychopath whose parents were SCARED of him, that he controlled his family, his teachers, his friends, that Dompig believed he'd killed Natalee.

I read over at WS that Joran arrived at the airport at the border, but before he will be released to the Peruvians that he will be given a medical examination by the Chileans.

For some reason the actual handover will be delayed for THREE hours.

I wonder what's up???? Did Joran attempt suicide? Did Joran have a psychotic break on the plane???

I think the explanation is that the plane used was a turbo prop rather than a jet. That’s a long journey.

The doctors are probably documenting his condition so if anything happens to Joran, the Peruvians can’t blame them.
