Very interesting.

Ok next question...how do you all of a sudden make a turn while drilling?
Here are a couple of good graphics of what the are attempting to do at the current time. Click on the high resolution link for a much better view.

OSHA will probably try to fine BP because they took the safety shield off the saw.
that would be hilarious if it were NOT TRUE!
Does anyone think they are cutting slots on opposing sides to get a clamp in there and pull the drill pipe up?
did those reports come from our trusty MSM or from the seafood industry?
I’m just saying....
A seafood vendor in my town told me he bought some oysters from a FL vendor instead of his usual LA vendor recently due to the spill and said the price he paid his vendor was more than what HE usually sells them for from his store here.
I think you have to know all the parts and what can be accessed....there’s just to many considerations to speculate.
Thank you
You’ll have to get someone with more knowledge than me for an answer. But I know they can use a whipstock to turn the bit. Also I think they use downhole motors ect now for these purposes. The technology is way above my pay grade. lol.
Did the government call in all the fisherman??? (needlessly)...to make this an even more serious disaster...
I thought the Kent Wells demo showed the cap was already on the ocean floor and just needed to be lifted into position
via fumbles and the yellow strap maybe? :-)
maybe they need to bring in one of those guys who does intricate ice sculptures with a chainsaw!
I’ve wondered that as well.
What in the world is Fumbles Jr. trying to grab?? is that a piece of pipe they cut away with the circular saw?
The camera angle on Ocean 2 definately shows the deformation/crimping of the top of the pipe by the shear.
I may be wrong, but this does not look good on Ocean 2’s Cam. it appears that the ROV has become tangles in the ther for another peice of equipment.
Ugh fat fingers: become tangled in the tether for another piece of equipment.
LOL - Some guy just walked up to one of the ROVs.
