Very interesting.
(Excerpt) Read more at bp.com ...
is the next step a finish cut on the stub with the wire saw or go ahead and try to put on the cap?
Looks like there’s a rover right on top of the head with it’s lights on......but no feed.
Story of my life.
Here’s all 12:
I have my main window set for two across and two down - page down to get to the other cams. Then hit “Properties” on a video and open that URL in new window.
obama going to the Gulf Coast tomorrow. He will take credit for the success and behead BP.

If you left double click on the monitor you want to watch it will go full screen.
Or is that jaws still in place.......
BP has not said yet what the next step is. I think it may bepend on how much pressure this cut released off of the stack and whether or not it has tilted back toward vertical a little.
awesome view of riser on Viking 1 cam
Great tip - thanks! :^)
Is he avoiding a meeting with tha Az Gov. ? Gotta get to the coast ASAP! No time to talk.
As squashed as the pipe is I’m betting yes. The saw shoud be able to get a nice clean cut now. They should start cutting from the opposite side though. We’ll see if that is what happens. Fascinating(in my best spock voice)

Gotta go to a retirees club lunch.
You guys keep things under control while I’m gone....
I would think with alot of the pressure relieved, they could go back in with Liz Taylor, the diamond cutter!
Even though it’s a bad situation, oil leak and all, it is still a pretty spectacular operation.
No kidding! I think they have a good shot at getting this under control now. I’d give anything to be a fly on the wall in the control room. Jesus, what pressure!
That would definately be my thinking too.
Looks like Ocean 2 may be moving in to get a closeup of the stack.
