Barack Obama assured the American people that "nothing improper took place" with regard to claims by Rep. Joe Sestak (D-PA.) that the Obama administration offered him a government job if he would drop out of the Pennsylvania primary race with Sen. Arlen Specter.
Obama also said a White House report about the allegations would be coming "soon".
"Not months or weeks," he said.
Democrats and Republicans have raised questions about what could be a serious violation of federal law, or even an impeachable offense, if Sestak was indeed offered a bribe of a federal job.
Obama made his comments in response to a question by Fox News' Major Garrett at today's press conference.
Obama declined to get into specifics, deferring to the "soon" to be released White House report.

Either Sestak is lying, or there was a felony committed. There is no third door. That is the bottom line, isn't it. He'll BS his way out and the press will give him a pass as usual.

Gee,Billy Boy Clinton said the same thing!

If it wasn’t for FOX News, I wonder if the MSM would have even asked about it...

Nothing Improper Took Place
Which is absolutely true. If you're playing by 0 or Chicagoland rules that is.
Additionally whether this happened or not it proves that Sleestack is too stupid to be a senator.

The U.S. Code specifically forbids anyone from seeking to tamper with an election by offering a bribe or anything else of value or substance to a candidate.
Is it a federal felony to knowingly conceal criminal activity ?
If it is a federal felony, should Joe Sestak be charged with knowingly concealing someone in the White House from seeking to tamper with an election by offering Joe Sestak a bribe or anything else of value or substance such as another job position ?

Good point. ‘Improper’ is easier to interpret than ‘is’.

I guess it depends on what the meaning of “improper” is.
To: PhilosopherStone1000
The White House will probably give Sestak a Clinton-style script to read, to the effect that "it all depends on what the meaning of 'offered' is." The gist of it will be that there was really no quid pro quo; Sestak misunderstood; it was all a big failure to communicate. Nothing improper.

I think that he WAS offered the job of Secy of the Navy, THEN they found out he had been DEMOTED the first day by Mike Mullen, so they reneged on the deal. It’s a TWO-FER!!
