I think that he WAS offered the job of Secy of the Navy, THEN they found out he had been DEMOTED the first day by Mike Mullen, so they reneged on the deal. It’s a TWO-FER!!
Makes sense...I didn’t realize he had been demoted. Do you have some background on that. When you say demoted...do you mean just removed from a job or actually lost rank? If he lost rank he must have done something bad...so I assume you meant he was removed from a job...not really a demotion in military terms. Just trying to be clear on what really happened.
