An animal welfare group said Tuesday that a graphic video it secretly recorded shows workers at a dairy farm beating cows with crowbars, stabbing them with pitchforks and punching them in their heads.
The video was recorded in an undercover investigation at Conklin Dairy Farms Inc., said Mercy For Animals, a not-for-profit group that publicizes what it calls cruel practices in the dairy, meat and egg industries and promotes a vegan diet.

This is truth. Which is even more evidence that the video was staged. What business man in his right mind would permit such behavior? Even knowing that the property is his and he can do what he wishes with it, the noise the lunatic liberals would make about it is just too annoying.
That's a fairly strong admission that you checked my profile page. LOL
>> parachuting = knee-ferk reaction
“knee-ferk”?
Welcome to Free Republic! You’ll notice for your convenience there’s a button that says “Spell” two over from the one that says “Post”.
(Just yankin’ your chain. Truce? I have to go to work.)
Lack of care sounds simple but it’s not. In this case it’s extreme abuse. The animals involved had had surgery involving the nervous system with the intention of showing that the brain could remap itself. (The redone experiment did in fact show that with important implications for the rehabilitation of brain injuries and brain disease.)
The video is not staged. The main protagonist might have been “goaded-on” by the cameraman, but that’s not much of a defense. Someone, somewhere, was asleep at the switch . . . and the company will suffer for it.
Spell-check is for wimps.

Sure you don’t respect me now... you feel violated, but you will respect me in the morning once you realize how good it was.
Actually, there’s a little tooltip that pops up when I hover over your sacred name... it says “Rude Since 1999-01-21”.
>> Spell-check is for wimps.
That’s exactly why I don’t useit.
I read that the first time and read "Human Slaughter" and thought "what a cruel thing to do to anyone's aunt"
So it is. But you're missing the point: it wasn't done by Pacheco, but by two employees specifically tasked with this. You can even argue that Pacheco stopped the abuse in the most effective way possible by alerting the authorities.
I spent the night alone, sorry. You must have me confused with one of your barn animals.
>> You must have me confused with one of your barn animals.
LOL! I admire you — you’re every bit as stubborn as I am, and three times as rude.
I’m outta here; you get the last word, so make it good.
There you go using logic and reason again...
Now...back to the video. RE: the sadistic PIGs who are torturing the cows - cook their goose!
The first thought that should always come to mind when PETA or one of their clones issues something like this is "How much did PETA pay the actor?"
I happen to believe animal rights is a religion. One where humans are profane and animals are sacred. They seem to believe animals that associate with humans have been defiled and deserve death and that's what behind so many of their actions. Their goal is to separate humans from animals.
LOL! I did that once at a Chinese restaurant. I misread Hunan Beef as Human Beef. Might be one of the reasons I will not have meat in Chinese food!
