Now that "24" has ended, feel free to offer random thoughts here.
good “episode”, but hardly a good season finale, much less a series finale ... frankly, i was pretty disappointed
Paul: I actually thought it was a ‘hell of an ending’...
Jack’s not dead...
I may have had a tear in my eye at the end. I’m gonna miss the characters.
How many people did Jack kill through the years? Just wondering.
I’m not sure that anything the President signed at this point would be worth much. She’s in so much trouble that a pardon from her isn’t going to be worth the paper it was written on.
“Can someone catch me up on what happened? :)”
You’re a funny one! Really, if you ever want to rent a show, I’d recommend getting 24.
Well this being way down on the second page nobody will read it, but all the same:
1) Never watched the show at all until this season, and then only because Katee was added to the cast, as long as she lasted anyway. Show was a bit of a cartoon with Jack racking up kills like a first person shooter video game, all the while totally shrugging off gunshot wounds, stab wounds, beatings, etc. Blood loss alone should have incapacitated him after the fourth hour. If there had been a next season it’s unlikely I would have watched.
2) Hollywood finally got Nixon. The old evil president misleading the nice new female president was so obviously cast as a Nixon clone, hairline and all. And he tries to take the cowards way out and can’t even do that right.
3) President Taylor is a schmuck. Her self righteousness in torpedoing the peace deal was unimaginably self-indulgent. The central point is “Iran” was ready to make the peace deal. Whether Russia is double dealing wasn’t the material issue. Destroying her own peace process meant all the show’s body count died for nothing.
4) Katee needs a new series.
He may have to rename it from man-purse to Tacti-cool man bag O’ death or just quit drinkin.......
I never watched even a single episode, did I miss anything?
Or...Beer Belly Ammo Pouch? Kidnapping Kit Klutch?
ohhhh baby !!!!!!!
You mean they're going to cast Gregory Itzin as the current resident infesting 1600 Pennsylvania Ave? I think he's a bit too short to play the part :D
I found the end a little maudlin, but with the PC writers they've had the past couple years, I guess I should have expected it. I was kinda hoping that Jack would have done Logan when he and Suvarov were meeting up in Logan's office. I did like it when he went Mike Tyson on Logan's lap dog.
Also, why did Suvarov not sign in Cyrillic or Hassan in Arabic? If they had to dumb down the show that much so the American public could read their signatures, then I am glad this was the end!
Two things I would have like to have scene at the end:
1) President Taylor's explanatory presser
2) When Jack was on the phone to Chloe at the end, I was expecting him to tell her that he loved her.
“Who cares? If you dont like it, why do you feel compelled to comment on a 24 thread. Just another jerkwad”
I tuned in because it was the Last and found it to be less than the first 24 much less,it is not my fault you are not really a judge of what a decent show should look like.Regards.
She always had a range of expressions but you had to look close. She use to grate on me in the beginning like your first taste of beer as a kid. But she grew on me :o)
Yeah it gets under your skin...really fast paced...my blood pressure was always elevated by the end of the episode...and I'm just now getting back to normal. :o)
Really close. LOL
I liked her.
The Logan/Taylor thing at the end really was Shakespearean, wasn’t it? He should have been named President Iago. Excellent acting. He had a *lot* of exposition to spit out, and did it beautifully, all the while maintaining his weasel demeanor. :)
I was wondering that myself.
Kind of feels like the ending of the “Truman Show”. After it’s over, the audience has to decide what to watch now.
