Pee-wee Herman is getting ready for his next big adventure: Broadway.

Pee-wee, aka known as Paul Rebuens, will start his six-week run at the Stephen Sondheim Theater in New York starting Oct. 26, according to Broadwayworld.com.

The Broadway limited engagement follows the 57-year-old's comeback earlier this year with his acclaimed stage play "The Pee-wee Herman Show" at the Club Nokia in downtown Los Angeles. The stage show is a revised version of a play he performed in the '80s, and features characters from the popular CBS television show, Pee-wee's Playhouse, including Cowboy Curtis, Chairry, Pterry the Pterodactyl, Jambi the Genie and Miss Yvonne.

Wasn’t Pee-Wee in trouble for something sexual with his, weeny?

It did happen inside some sleazy porno movie theater. Maybe he thought that if he did what everyone else there was probably doing, no one would notice who he was.

It is a shame that he had his kid’s show cancelled because of that incident. I really liked that show as a kid and when I watch old episodes on the net it is still good.

Pee-Wee was the first popular man-child. Barry Soetoro was the second. I truly hope that “Spanky the Monkey” does NOT make an appearance during this performance.

Do you remember seeing Miss Evonne in that Schwarzenegger movie “The Running Man”?

Oh now now.. Pee Wee is funny.. “Pee Wee’s BIG Adventure” is a great movie

I thought he was very funny too, in an uniquely and creative way. In any case, we have people in powerful political positions today who have done far worse things than what he did, as gross as it was.

It's amazing how much bad writing we see in the internet age. Nobody seems to proofread or edit anything anymore.

What do Pee Wee Herman and John Wilkes Booth have in common?

They both "shot someone in the back of the head" in a theater.

I don’t care what anyone says. The Pee Wee Herman show was absolutely brilliant.

I saw his live show back in 83, it was great, he is a talented guy, had a good history with the Groundlings improv group.

“They both “shot someone in the back of the head” in a theater.”

I thought they caught Pee Wee before he unloaded.

Looks like I could have used a proofreader myself on my last comment:

"I liked the guy, he was quirky........LOL!"

I was never a particularly big fan of his, but I think it's telling that a year after he was vilified by the American people for what he did in a darkened adult theater, those same Americans would elect, and defend a president who jerked off in a Whitehouse sink.

At least you have the excuse of being a nobody that's just posting comments on a web site because you have nothing better to do, not a commercial operation.

Wiki says that incident happened a year after Pee Wee's Playhouse was over. I thought the show was a hoot. A latter day Soupy Sales.

It was an excellent television show. It appealled more to adults that kids. I loved it.

Yep, me too and I ain't no kid. I also liked Bevis & Butthead.

B&B seeing a woman with a garden hoe:

Bevis: Whats that?

Butthead: That's a hoe.

Bevis: I know it is but what's she carrying?

"hehehehehehe" -continuing:

Butthead: Isn't it funny how one word can mean two different things?

Bevis: Yeah, like "masterbation"

Butthead: Ummmmm, no, that doesn't work.

Bevis: Sure it does, I do it all the time.

I thought so too. I taped one with Phil Hartman on it. He was Captain Mike (I believe it was). Then he had on some girl who supposedly liked him. It seemed as if a kid could have written the script. It was loopy like a kid sees things. It was funny.

Captain Carl and Miss Yvonne. That episode was a hoot.

Then there were the voices of Ricky Lee Jones and Tom Waites as the pet birds who put in appearances.

Samuel L. Jackson was a semi-regular.

Some of that stuff was sheer genius, IMO.

I think you’re thinking of Larry Fishburne (not Samuel Jackson). Larry was Cowboy Curtiss.
