FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- DeVore for California today announced that former U.S. Representative Tom Tancredo (R-CO-6) is endorsing Chuck DeVore in the race for United States Senate in California.
Former Representative Tancredo said, "Throughout my entire public career, I fought for core conservative values: the defense of our national sovereignty, the securing of our borders, the protection of the unborn, and a sound foreign policy. I endorse Chuck DeVore now because he is the only candidate running for U.S. Senate in California who we can trust on all these issues.
"Chuck DeVore knows too well the costs and dangers of illegal immigration and an unsecured border. He studied the problem up close as an officer in the California Army National Guard -- and as a homeowner with a family in southern California. He led the California State Assembly's Republican Task Force on Illegal Immigration. He fought to prevent additional taxpayer dollars from being spent on welfare programs for illegal immigrants. When Mexican President Vicente Fox addressed the California legislature in 2006, Chuck DeVore joined Tom McClintock to boycott the speech in protest over the Mexican government's aid to illegal immigration.
"In this primary campaign, it was Chuck DeVore who forced his two opponents to finally oppose amnesty for illegal immigrants. That includes Carly Fiorina, who actually supported John McCain's amnesty proposal. And when his campaign rivals were trying to triangulate and hedge over Arizona's SB1070, Chuck DeVore was out front supporting it on day one. That's leadership and integrity we need in Washington, D.C. -- and that's why I'm supporting Chuck DeVore."
Chuck DeVore said, "I am honored to receive the endorsement of Congressman Tancredo. The list of conservative leaders behind my campaign grows every day. It's a testament not to me, but to the ideals that have always motivated me. I look forward to bringing them to Washington, D.C."

The idiot writer who put that out did too. He was mistaken.
Isn’t it a little late?
You thought wrong.
Nope
No. Go DeVore!!
It would have been better announced earlier, that is true, due (among other things) to absentee/ by-mail ballots already being available. But better now than not at all!
Tanc never said the new AZ law “went too far”. That story pretty much has been discredited about Tanc not supporting the AZ law.
It seems he is against “racial profiling” to find illegal immigrants, and supports the AZ law because it does not allow such profiling.

Oh-Oh
Here come the Tom Tancredo complaints.....or maybe not...
Good news. Chuck DeVore BUMP!
Good!
MSNBC was claiming Tom Tancredo was critical of the Arizona law and I saw him on FNC say that it was not true, that he supported it. But some here still have to post that false story, looking for something.
thanks for the clarification.
Umm, Tancredo doesn’t exactly have the same following as a Sarah Palin. In fact, a Tancredo endorsement probably has not effect whatsoever on the California electorate.
Thanks for the PING
And Palin doesn’t have the following of Rush Limbaugh. What’s your point?
B U M P
Tom’s one of my all-time favorites.
