And in regards to mentioning the birthers... that’s not flaming ... LOL ... what we’re talking about in flaming (as in flame wars) is when you call a particular person that you’re talking to on a thread names, as opposed to discussing the issues ... :-)
So, making the comparison with the thinking on this thread with others on Free Republic who are doing the exact same thing (as I also mentioned another thread, too... in the same manner, which was not a birther thread, either), that’s not calling an individual poster some “name” ... that’s your flame war... the name calling.

No, it’s not anti-free speech in terms of protecting all speech so that nothing is restricted on the basis of content. That’s what is being talked about, in terms of Net Neutrality. It’s the preserving of any speech (technically speaking, in terms of the packets and not restricting it either from “source” or by “content” ... all speech (i.e., Internet information) is allowed to go through, is not restricted and is treated the same. That’s why I went back to get the whole thing and I think you’ve got a misunderstanding of the government regulating — thinking that it means they (the government) will restrict you — when what is going on is that the government will keep anyone else from restricting you, giving you a completely level playing field — your content is the same as the next guy’s content, and no matter where your source is (no matter where you put up your website, in other words) everyone will have the same access to your website as the next person (no restrictions on accessing your website).

It was brought up in Post #231 by Red Steel in referring to that conversation ... at first I didn't realize that's what he was talking about, until he referenced the post, specifically ... then I knew that was what he was referring to.
And that's why it came up, because of that reference...
So, in it being brought up to me -- I then clarified what I said about it originally... and that is how Carly Fiorina came to be mentioned here... otherwise, in all my posts prior to that time, I had nothing to say about her on this thread.

In Post #263, in what you were asking me -- I was talking about the birther issue ... and that's what we had talked about long ago. It was approximately a year ago. That was the flaming that was going on and people calling other people names, and not discussing the issue at hand.
You are now, right here, talking about something different -- and now it has to do with what I was talking about very recently -- with Sarah Palin and James Inhofe and Tom Coburn backing Carly Fiorina and that I backed their endorsements. [... and that's all I can do since I don't vote there, I'm in Oklahoma].
So, if now you'r talking about Carly Fiorina -- and then about me agreeing with those endorsements from Sarah Palin and James Inhofe and Tom Coburn, then that's something completelly different, than the birther issue.
And with that issue, of Carly Fiorina, all I can do is simply back my own two U.S. Senators in their endorsements, since they are the only ones I have a direct vote on. And if I ever get to vote for Sarah Palin again, I will vote for her. As far as Carly Fiorina is concerned, I think they made a solid endorsement and although I can't vote in that election, I can vote for those who endorsed her, and I have no problem with them backing her.

I was just mentioning to another Freeper up above in this thread that every FReeper is disagreed with somewhere on some issue by just about every other FReeper that exists on this board. I don't know of anyone who agrees, with every point right on down the line.
