Sad news. I just heard from her daughter that FReeper Bahbah passed away this morning from a ruptured aneurysm while making breakfast. Her family was with her when she passed and she was peaceful.
Rest in peace dear FRiend.
Prayers for her family and loved ones.
Oh dear Lord! This is dreadful news, I liked Bahbah very much, always enjoyed reading her posts.
Rest in Peace, dear Bahbah. You will be sorely missed.
OH no,
Father, in Heaven, give comfort like only YOU can give to this family. I believe you have hugged one of yours into your kingdom!
amen
R.I.P.
Althought I haven't had a lot of time to post on FR for a couple of years I do try to read the posts of several freepers and certain threads as often as possible. I always enjoyed reading Bahbah's posts. She had wit, wisdom, a lovely sense of fun and she cared deeply about her family, friends and the country.
We've lost a number of cherished FReepers over the last decade but I don't recall ever seeing a tribute thread filled with such an outpouring of love, admiration and genuine grief as this one. Clearly, hers was a life well lived and that is how she will long be remembered.
For all those so impacted by her passing I hope the image of Babbah delighting in a Heavenly reunion with fellow FReepers Tony Snow and Barbara Olson will eventually overcome the sadness you feel.
Rest in peace, dear Bahbah.
She was a lovely person, and I always enjoyed her posts.
Deepest condolences to her loved ones. What a sudden, shocking bereavement. May the Good Lord watch over them all, and console their aching hearts.
RIP Bahbah. May your soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace always.
Prayers up.
Sad news. Rest in peace, dear Bahbah.
You will be so missed.....
39 years old???????????? Taken way too soon. Am really sorry. My mom was 80 and my dad 90.
she may well have been the Thud originator.. I recall when it started on the Dose.. while GWB was still in office. I had made up a series of thud graphics (I know, so pertinent) LOL
Dont know if anyone has that archived
Your post is correct - the real value of gratefulness for what we had
...we do take for granted opportunities & people much to often - well, at least I know I do. Just expect that all will be in place tomorrow. Not aways the case.
Nice seeing you Leilani!
wow.. much too young to lose mom.. although I guess there NEVER is a good time
God Bless this woman of great strength on her way to heaven my heart grieves
I’m really sorry to hear this. Bahbah was a fine lady, a great FReeper, and an excellent cruise companion. Prayers for her family and friends.
This is very sad news indeed. God bless Bahbah and her family - she will be missed on FR!
It is a very sad loss old freind.
Just the other day my wife asked how she was.
I should share with family members that read this thread that what askel is refering to is a wonderful evening of Jazz about eight years ago when Bahbah was spending some time in Kansas City.
We all get to know each other over the years on postings on the internet. But we know that that is only a limited dimension to the whole person.
Early in Bahbah’s getting to know FR she decided to join our jazz night we used to hold in Kansas City. My wife (who doesn’t post or follow FR) was along with me and we had a crowd of twenty or so for a fine second annual event.
My wife, who only met this savy, intelligent, bright and charming woman that one night eight years ago asked fondly of her a few weeks ago. We felt a real loss that she couldn’t stay in Kansas City and I know others enjoyed her company that evening as well. She was passionate about the conservative cause, she went out to a downtown Jazz club to meet people she didn’t really know at all because she was concerned for her country and wanted to be involved. A classy gal.
Prayers up.
To: Springman I am going to miss her, Springman. She always had sharp and witty observations and clever things to say. I just hate it that shes gone.

She was referencing the passing of YaYa123. Now her own word speak for all of us.
