There is only one Greenville. That would be Greenville, NC

Uh, what about Greenville, SC??? Home of the USC Upstate Spartans.

... which came up on my Google search BEFORE Greenville NC ... just sayin'

There are NO DINO’s. They all turn liberal when crunch time hits.

IF...he isn't lying.

Which...being a Dim & a politician I would expect him to.

Next thing...if you think like a Conservative...why be in a party that for all intents and purposes is a Socialist Party?

I don't know this fellow...but I don't trust him.

Yes, you are right, but people in WV will never understand your point.

Everyone who voted for the Healthcare Bill deserves to be voted out. Period. No excuses. If they do not listen to the People they are not doing their jobs as REPRESENTATIVES, throw da bums out!

Any of them that still believe in Cap n’ Trade after Toto has pulled the curtain away, need to be voted out also.

I expect the morons in WV will buy it hook, line and sinker.

It's funny, you know, how you can think of the good citizens of West Virginia as morons after they went overwhelmingly for Bush (twice) and McCain. It seems that these "morons" are trying to do what those in deep blue hell-holes are unwilling to do - taking a step in the right direction.

I think that the Tea Party movement whom Mollohan had attacked crossed over and voted in the DemocRAT primary.

That would be well intentioned but foolish. Having an open seat has it's advantages but overall it's better to face the damaged incumbent. Like when allegedly some Missouri Republicans crossed over into the 2004 rat gubernatorial primary and defeated Governor Bob Holden who was a lock to lose in November. The winning rat Claire McCaskill nearly won. When discussing this years later I had a disagreement with some Missouri freeper.

Them: We got rid of Holden!

Me: But McCaskill nearly won. Holden was toast for November.

Them: We got rid of Holden!!

Me: That was foolish, helping the stronger general election rat win.

Them: Shut up!

Oliverio may be conservative for a rat but AFAIC he's pond scum so long as he's in the party of Obama, Byrd, and Pelosi whom I assume he'd vote for as Speaker. If the man wanted to switch he could have done so months ago and ran as a Republican. I'm not greatly optimistic he would if he wins in November.

So those Tea Parties better turn out in the general and beat him.

If the primary turnout was about even as freeper Kabar has stated then maybe Tea Partiers did not cross over. You'd figure on more people voting in the rat primary in that district.

I agree. Would much rather have faced Mollohan.

Republicans had their hands full with 6! choices in this primary. I doubt they crossed over and meddled on the Democrat side. I’d be inclined to believe if they bothered to come out, they had a favorite candidate on the R side they wanted to support.

The ferocity with which Dems threw out Mollohan reveals a lot of voter angst. Just what triggered that angst and how it can be tapped into for R benefit is something the McKinley team needs to discern.

Good. It’s high time we started getting some conservative dog catchers on the job.

Right. No more "catch and release."

One could make the argument that WV has been voting reliably Republican at the Presidential level only since 2000.

I think that if the Democrats scale back the anti-coal, greenie rhetoric, they'll get WV back.

West Virginia is full of social conservatives (pro-gun, pro-military, pro-God, pro-life) who reliably forget all about that stuff when it's time to vote for more government cheese.

Why should I have to perform a search. I knew perfectly well how to do that and who this person was. The point is, Why put up a thread with absolutely no information. What is the purpose of a no information thread. Gathering information and reporting it is the job of the poster, not the reader.

“He sounds preferable to many Republicans, frankly. I gather he won’t be herded by the likes of Pelosi, Reid or Obama. Good stuff. The GOP has pissed me off so mightily over the past two decades that I really have no built-in preference for a party label any more. I’d take a Zell Miller over a Lindsay Graham just about any time. This guy Oliverio sounds pretty good. May his tribe increase among the Dems.”

I hear what you are saying. But if Oliverio wins in November and drinks the Obama/Pelosi Kool-Aid he will be toast in 2012 in his re-election bid.

I hope Ben Nelson is still paying attention in 2012. Nebraskans won’t forget. A vote for any democrat - regardless of whether they call themselves pro-life - is a vote for the Pelosis and Reids of the world. Never again.
