So they mated. just proves they had beer, beer can do many things, I seen more than one Cave man think he hit it big after a little beer.

I'm waiting for one of the tabloids to pick up on this story, with the headline:

NEANDERTHAL
CHICKS WERE EASY

“There is a little Neanderthal in nearly all of us

And he likes barbecue...”

LOL. I bet many of us think our dear hubbies are part Neanderthal. Not that there’s anything wrong with that...

Fermentation is one of the first technologies man has "relearned" in civilization many times.

“Wait a minute...I thought via evolution we were descendants from neanderthals...”

There are different theories. The “consensus” is that the neanderthals are our cousins, not our ancestors. The ancestors of the neanderthals left Africa much earlier than modern humans. But some of the “modern male” losers among those who left Africa 60,000 years ago probably had to jump anything that walked.

Link
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recent_African_origin_of_modern_humans#Exodus_from_Africa
“According to both genetic and fossil evidence, archaic Homo sapiens evolved to anatomically modern humans solely in Africa, between 200,000 and 100,000 years ago, with members of one branch leaving Africa by 60,000 years ago and over time replacing earlier human populations such as Neanderthals and Homo erectus.”

“Anthropologists have long speculated that early humans may have mated with Neanderthals, but the latest study provides the strongest evidence so far, suggesting that such encounters took place around 60,000 years ago in the Fertile Crescent region of the Middle East.”

So that’s why it’s called “the Fertile Crescent”..

The Neandertal Enigma
by James Shreeve

in local libraries
Frayer's own reading of the record reveals a number of overlooked traits that clearly and specifically link the Neandertals to the Cro-Magnons. One such trait is the shape of the opening of the nerve canal in the lower jaw, a spot where dentists often give a pain-blocking injection. In many Neandertal, the upper portion of the opening is covered by a broad bony ridge, a curious feature also carried by a significant number of Cro-Magnons. But none of the alleged 'ancestors of us all' fossils from Africa have it, and it is extremely rare in modern people outside Europe." [pp 126-127]
