Students Kicked Off Campus for Wearing American Flag Tees on Cinco De Mayo

On any other day at Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill, Daniel Galli and his four friends would not even be noticed for wearing T-shirts with the American flag. But Cinco de Mayo is not any typical day especially on a campus with a large Mexican American student population.

Galli says he and his friends were sitting at a table during brunch break when the vice principal asked two of the boys to remove American flag bandannas that they wearing on their heads and for the others to turn their American flag T-shirts inside out. When they refused, the boys were ordered to go to the principal's office.

"They said we could wear it on any other day," Daniel Galli said, "but today is sensitive to Mexican-Americans because it's supposed to be their holiday so we were not allowed to wear it today."

The boys said the administrators called their T-shirts "incendiary" that would lead to fights on campus.

The mother who said “I don’t know what the big deal is” is a member of the “sheeple” class and will do nothing more about this outrage against her son and her country. And there lies the problem. Apathy.

Society is broken up into 3 types of people: wolves, sheep, and shepherds. Too many wolves and sheep. Not enough shepherds.

OK.......here is what we must all do ( I did this, so this a true story ) my son had a big cinco de mayo celebration in his school, and the parents were invited to attend. I did attend, as did my wife. When I saw the principal, I walked up to him, and congratulated him on a wonderful little evening. He was beaming with pride. I then asked him what the kids do on Veterans day. He looked a little confused. I then said to him, “ Because of the Veterans of the Armed Forces, some of who gave their lives, you and the kids are able to have this celebration. What do you do for Veterans day”?...well, he had no answer for that, but the following year the school had a Veterans day celebration to end all celebrations. The whole school spent the week writing reports, letters to vets, and put on a celebration that put his cinco de mayo celebration to shame. So, in closing, challenge the authorities, but do it in a way they cannot counter. The results are nothing short of spectacular...( the principal is long gone from this school, but to this day they still do the Veterans day celebration )

I saw this on the news last night.
Thanks to the Media, and Educational system, we've become a parody of a nation.
A Balkanized conglomeration of hyphenated 'non-Americans'...
We don't say that we can't wave the American Flag on Bastille Day (because surely that day must be reserved for French Americans and their Flag), nor Magna Carta Day (or Waterloo Day ... or whatever day the Brits celebrate), nor Pearl Harbor Day (or whatever day the Japanese celebrate) ... but somehow its 'reasonable' to make it off-limits to display the United States flag on the day that Mexico added its name to the long list of people that defeated France in a battle (Cinco del Mayo - the Battle of Puebla)...

This pandering has to stop. Either we are one Nation: America; and one People: Americans -- or we are gaggle of tribes loyal only to skin melanin, or ancestral homelands...

A dear friend of mine was born, raised and now just recently went back to his hometown of Guanajuato. He told me that they do not celebrate this supposed holiday in Mexico. It’s just a big deal here in America. I don’t know about other areas in Mexico, but he said that it’s just another day over there.

Think back to the late 1960’s. I’m in Jr High school, and I like headbands. No, I wasn’t a hippie, but I did like the “style”. So, I’m wearing a headband one day, and in gym we don’t dress and hang around for some reason I don’t remember any more.

I almost got “jumped” (beaten up) by a group of mexicans because “only Indians can wear a headband.” Yep. A teacher and some friends intervened before anything started, but a black girl heard my account of what had just happened. She wanted to borrow my headband. I let her. She found this group of girls and taunted them asking, “You going to tell me to take this off?”

Moral of the story. Mexicans can push you around until you push back.

We aren’t pushing back.

Per Wikipedia

"While Cinco de Mayo sees limited significance and celebration nationwide in Mexico, the date is observed nationwide in the United States and other locations around the world"

Ironic or political tool

We report. You decide...

Yet during all the Arizona protests, Ole Glory's colors could be seen in many students hands.

Think they really wanted to be Americans ...

Or Mexicans in America...

I know what I think....
